It is still unclear if my daughter born on 03/03/2009 is eligible for nursery admissions in Delhi schools. She is currently going to a playschool. What is the verdict? Could you please elaborate.

also I have a MAJOR QUERY

EVERYDAY WHEN I GO BACK HOME AFTER PICKING MY KID FROM PLAYSCHOOL I SEE AN ADVERTISEMENT BOARD ON THE ROAD BY MUTHOOT FINANCE STATING GET INSTANT 5 MINS LOAN AGAINST YOUR GOLD FOR YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL ADMISSION.

SO NOW DOES THAT MEAN EVERY SCHOOL IS GOING TO CHARGE A HEFTY AMOUNT WHILE GIVING ADMISSION WHICH WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD????????

IS THIS AN ADMISSION FEE OR IS IT A FORM OF DONATION ... I CAN GUESS IT HAS TO BE IN LACS THAT IS WHY THEY ARE GIVING LOANS

No if you get on merits its initially around 50 k(average ) than 5k per month ( average)

What is a merit for a 3 year old kid??

I just read on your site only that you emphasized that there should be no screening or interview of parents or kid.

And if we fail on merits as we do not have alumni points where i want to send my kid, then no sibling, then no single parent, then you mean to say we have to gather some money probably 2-3 lacs to get him admitted. And if he gets through this money then how do we know who to pay or do schools take money on the face

NO many schools have category based system from this year onwards ..with draw of lots for general with no sibling /alumni (lets hope for the best)

Clarification required in the Light of Today's Verdict......do ALL Schools have to consider 3+ as on 31 March 2012 or do they have flexibility to modify the cut-off date ??

All school have to follow 3 + on 31 mar 2012 (except one more school +mt carmel) they have been doing from last 4-5 yrs ..no need to panic

Sir..my son whose b'date is 5.7.08 and hence would be 3 years and 8 months next year march. he is going to a preparatory school right now.Would he be eligible for admissions next year.
