Sumit My son is 24th April2009 Born, would he be yet eligible for nursery admission this year, if not then , next time can we go for KG admissions directly.

Sumitji my son is 6th Oct 2008 born. As per the guidelines he is eligible for Nursery but in case the Nursery kid does not get promoted to KG next year then should we go for Nursery admission still in 2012-13.
What do u suggest. Also next year again the cat-mouse race will be faced for KG admission.

No we will wait and watch ..if school gives 10-20 points to their preschool students and govt allows it then try for your desired school else(If Kg is entry point)
if 4yrs KG is entry point ..no advantage of same schools nursery then any nearby good play school!!

Hi Sumit,
My daughter is Jan 2009 born.As per the verdict today, she is eligible for nursery in coming session 2012-13 , but the pending verdict on 6th Jan , which state whether Nursery kids would be promoted to next level(KG/Prep) by default or there would be fresh apply for prep. Does it mean parents has to go through the admission process twice in a row. in this session for nursery and in next session for KG.
or if nursery is not part of formal school, then can one continue with nursery in any play school and directly apply for KG. Please clarify.Thanks

@All parents : last year also same thing happened hence it is a routine for them but please my request is go ahead get admission as even if HC says admission again in prep (remote possibility) the point system will have 50 points for nursery passed from same school OK

Dear Sumit,
As you mentioned that if schools give some points to students of nursery in case KG is entry level , when this thing would be decided , if this thing they decide next year or some time later then how we can decide for our kid this year... whether to send in nearby playschool for nursery or send in school of our choice only to be on safer side and go through this hectic process again..

I'm really not able to understand the line "whether the 3 yrs will be promoted to kg(prep) by default or have to freshly apply in PREP (4 yrs)". What does this actually mean in a simple layman language. My daughter is May 2008 born and I will get her admission formalities done this time.. However please explain next year do we have to go through this all over again?? Will my child be admitted to nursery again or she will find a place in KG?? Please explain the same. Regards

Pre-school is an informal class. Formal schooling starts only from Pre-Primary or KG. Your query has the answer in it. Whether fresh admissions will take place for Kg next year or will be promoted to KG by giving some points to Pre-school kids etc will be decided on Jan 6th.
