thats great....it was simply not possible to implement 4+ this year without extending date to 30th sep 2011

sir regarding that i guess schools should make some adjustments...i feel having some % quota for overage may solve the problem but in present scenario thats seems bit difficult:(

or best thing is to have no age eligibity except child being 3+ on 31st march...this way overage may also be included in the admission process...

That's right what can be done for the children who are over age....Now parents are worried as they are dependent on school authority's for decision on over age admissions in school. Will paly school's nursery classes be considered to promot the child to higher class in regular school..or any standard guidelines will be announced for over age addmissions..?

Hi,
Even I have the same concern. My son turned 4 on Dec 5, 2010. He is currently in Shemrock. I am much confused about the admission process. My daughter (DOB 4 March 2008) got admission in Amity Noida. Shreyas was not eligible for there. Now I was waiting for Delhi school and now much worried for him.

Hi Soma..i don't think he should not be having any problem in Delhi schools if criteria is 3 plus age as on 31st March 2011...pls check each school specific guidelines to be issued by next week...

(as per Noida schools you can personally visit once these relatively newer but very good schools like Lotus Valley(KG Age 4yrs 3 mths as on 1st April 2011:call 9910952225/9810891913) , Shriram Millenium (KG Age 4yrs 5 mths as on 1st April 2011:call 0120-3270894, 9999176666) , Step by Step (KG Age 4yrs 6 mths as on 1st April 2011:call 0120-4749333,4749300,4749376) and Mayoor(KG Age 4yrs 3 mths as on 1st April 2011:call 0120-4618300, 4618301) ..all near to Amity Noida on expressway. You can surely try for KG in these schools as your kid have good play school background in Shemrock)

Dear Brij,

Thanks a lot for your informative message. My son is very bright. As compared to my daughter, he is more active, obedient, fast learner. Both kids are very different but my daughter got through everywhere we went for her admission and son (for whom I was much confident) could not. Probably wrong choice of schools for him. 

I will be trying for the schools you mentioned.
