Age for Nursery

Hi what shud be the age of child to get them into nursery, I am confused as some schools say 3 yrs as on march 2015 for coming academic yr and sum say 2 1/2 is ok.

Min 3 yrs on 31 mar for some and 3ys 6months for others.
