@ Neeraj we concur with u very precious words

1.The points for the girl child is more relevant in case of rural areas or even for economically weaker section. Maybe there one can give points for that but not in the general category.

2. Allocating 20% for management is unfair advantage for people who are connected because 20% turns out to be a lot of slice from general category. It in effect will also give rise to more corruption.

Hi All
There is a category of kids with both parents working without a support mechanism at home. In most of these cases kids would stay in the day care!!
In these cases dont you think it makes sense to have the school near the office or the day care!! say for instance my home is in dwarka but my office is in vasant vihar, it makes imminet sense for me to have the kid study in vasant vihar instaed of dwarka which is almost 15 kms away.
In my view the neighbourhood criteria also should be extended to these two categories and be more inclusive..

would appreciate views on this..

We all should protest strongly against the admission age not being changed to 4+. The silly excuse offered by the Delhi Govt, was that age can only be changed if it is done on the All-India level. Now come on! Give me a break! The fact of the matter is that if the age had been changed to 4+, delhi schools wouldn't have earned any income from nursery admissions this year. They are not at all satisfied with the profits they earn from the other classes. They have their own interests to look after and have neither the time nor the inclination to think about parents and their children.
there should a criteria if 25pc seat child not turn up for admission.
We specialize in copying all the useless things of the West, like their music, dresses, hair styles, way of speaking. But, it is a tragedy that we have not copied their education system. For the last 6 decades, we have been entrapped in the British mode of working.

If our political establishment doesn't have a brain of their own, then why don't they dismantle the age old education system and put in place a new one. There is no need to do any research into this, just copy the model being followed by the advanced countries.

The fixing of date of birth as strict criteria is not fair. there should be at least some tolerance zone for boundary line cases particularly the upper age limit. Many schools have fixed age upper age limits which were not there last year, as soon as they have got freedom. This only shows that with all its lacunas the system being followed till last year was far better than what the schools will do this year. Hope Supreme court will restore order in this chaos.
