Age criteria should be 4+

Distance should be given weightage and should be mandatory critertia

I agree and as usual after wasting their time they are back with their confusing guidelines. Nothing has emerged for parents. its jus good for the schools to mint money once again.  This time around with full authority

I am totall Notsatisfied at all ..Pls include these suggestion to nursery admissions guidelines as follows :-

1.Neighbourhood criteria as the mandatory criteria so that lil ones dont have to travel far off places to get their education...its a wastage of time...secondly, each and every school should have same point system

2. Maximum Age permissible for Nursery admission should be relaxed by 1 year, while keeping the minimum age at 3+. Because development of all kids is different. Some kids may be able to join formal schools at 3+ age, while other may join 1 year later.

3. Sibilings should be given higher weightage, followed by first child, followed by the rest so that parents are discourgaed to send their two kids to two different schools or reserving seats in other schools.

4. Last yr every school has different points on which they had selected students...so this should not be happen this yr pls...guidelines have created more problem for all parents..

neighbourhood should not be the criteria. Do we have good schools all over delhi? Then why this criteria.

Single parent should be considered when one parent dies, not Divorce. Are u promoting Divorce in society?

First born should have equal points with alumini.

im totally against NIEGHBOURHOOD point.School buses ply all over Delhi?

  • Distance of course but its not as simple as it sounds. Areas which have no good schools in surrounding should be given weightage, like Vikaspuri. If distance remains the most prominent criteria, where will kids from Vikaspuri go?
  • No importance to alumni, most of the people in Delhi are outsiders and have not studied in these schools.
  • Same importance to sibling and only child. The first kid can’t have a sibling.
  • Some sort of uniformity in point system for all schools.
  • Finally no points on religion, such as Catholics.

Totally agree , " no points on religion "

i also agree with monika anand regarding neighbourhood criteria. and there should not be any point for alumni or either the equal point should be given for first child either girl or boy

Please include neighbourhood and first child criteria also. Also, it would be good if there are common dates for form submissions.

Hi,

The guidelines intentionally kept undecided just to give power to the schools, so they can lead the show and manipulate as per their convenience (keeping in mind the RTE act) which can done very smartly.
They have given 25% to the weaker section for which the schools already said they are unable to bear the burden and want to increase the FEE if that happened. This obviously will be taken by rest of the 75% students.
The management quota is 15% now and the seats which left for the general is 60%. In 60% the school got all the power to come up with their own formula of admission where they can have lottery and then % formula (Neighborhood, Sibling, alumni....?) to decide or % then lottery to consider.
So with this formula the parents have nothing in their hands but just to run for every school and ask what is their formula of admission and rest is destiny.
So I wish all the parents best of luck and if they have big pockets then they have better chance to get though.
But finally its a shame on the people who are unable to decide and float one uniform guideline to all the schools for the future force of our country.

Not satisfied at all: The first child/girl child criteria missing, there should be same point system for all schools otherwise it will cretae whole lot confusion. What is the use of RTE if child of any abled family miss their education due non selection in any school? I thing this system encourage the education to EWS but it seems now it is discouraging the education of general medium class section.

1.Age criteria and NO INTERVIEW criteria should be same across NCR region, not just Delhi.

2. Sibilings should be a MANDATORY CRITERIA  followed by first child, followed by the rest so that parents are discourgaed to send their two kids to two different schools or reserving seats in other schools

3. Distance should be a criteria in point system.
