We have applied to 12-13 schools. However, due to last moment change in Criteria, we couldn't make it to the schools which we were hoping for earlier. We were quite hopeful for the schools like: 1. Indian School 2. Bluebells International 3. Cambridge, NFC 4. Gyan Bharati, Saket.
Under the existing criteria also, the "Transfer Case" is ambiguous, as A) if someone is got transferred 5 years back, is he eligible? B) I am in a job, where, I may have to go/ take transfer at different project locations, is it considered transferrable job? C) Nursery admission is anyways a fresh admission and can't be transfer of child from one to another school.
We are with this movement. I am also against the point system for sibling and alumni because it would be unfair for people who studied outside delhi and who donot have their first kid studying in Delhi school. It is something similar to "Marathi Manush" favored by Shiv sena in Mumbai, same way in Delhi, Delhite or any school alumni are being given preference.

Sir i m not limiting this issue with an Mba degree.... It is for all educated n qualified parents.....
WE all suffered bcoz of this change....
We lost points both for CA as profession n CA n MBA as educational qualification....

I think this move by the DoE at the last juncture was very arbitrary and should be strongly opposed. Do children of educated parents don't deserve admissions in good schools? A democratic and inclusive approach in education is important but not at the cost of marginalizing those children whose parents have good educational track records. Points for siblings, alumni and girl child in some of the good schools also need to be rectified and a comprehensive set of parameters should be put into place which will put everybody on an equal footing. A transparent, centralized and uniform policy for nursery admissions should be implemented. Let us join our hands together and refuse to take things lying down at the hands of our minsters.

i am there to support this issue...as we as professionals only have qualifications with us...we cannot pay huge money to get admission...
also there should be some relaxation on the alumni and sibling marking. For eg. we cannot even think of getting into mother international school becuase we are neither alumni nor we have a sibling...i dont understand how the admission process works...

I don't know why we lost points, but one thing I can say me and my husband are well educated running a software company in west delhi. having an intelligent Son but still didn't get through in any school

hey! Sumit how are you..dont know what is happening to the education system.
Why such a pain its like getting ourselves admitted to some degree college. Really pissed off with the system. Every day the system is changing and we dont know where we stand. Anyway good luck to you and hope system gets controlled as for now its not us who choose school but school chooses us, what an irony. So many schools are asking for so much donation and funds that you are demoralised and then the high fees structure. It seems our degrees, education, values are all in vain. Dont understand what to do!?

Hi all ,
I had a 4 year daughter , when we filled forms we were very much sure that our child will definately get admitted in desired School.but after looking at the list we got shocked.
One thing is am sure about we should have raised the voice much more earlier. coz the whole selection system was totally depended upon the SIBLING & ALUMNI Factor. which clearly means if any parents those have single child or those had not studied in applied School have lesser advantage on getting their child admitted in it.

We stay at Hari Nagar (West Delhi) and had applied in 10 school but due to sudden change in the points criteria we have not got thru in any of the schools!!!!!

Sibling, Alumini, Girl Child, Transfer cases -> These parameters should be given weightage, but not 100% basis for admission.
I lost 25-30 points because mine and wife's education, occupation wasnt considered. I was almost certain to get through in KRMangalam, Indian School but not there in waiting list also.
Max hurt are those who arrived in Delhi 2-3 yrs back, single kid...so no sibling, no alumni and no transfer...Perhaps some one needs to advise Govt that matters of such complexity are not solved so simplistically as changing points criteria every other day...nothing Lovely in it....stupid and crappy....
