Unfortunately, most of us didn't score any points in alumni, siblings, Girl Child, transfer case and single parent status.
the mantra is if you are a single parent with a girl child, who sadly is disabled and your job is transferable you can get admission in any school you have wished for ..
There is now respite for normal parents with normal cases !!!
IT THE TIMING.. THAT WAS WRONG !!

Sorry Shaena, here I don't agree with you. Please specify how do you think a professionally qualified parent has an edge over non qualified parent. It is so possible that a non qualified parent has achieved much more than a qualified parent....I would certainly like to know the difference. Here I don't say that voice should not be raised, it should definitely be raised as changes are being effected after the schedule for submission of application forms was over but point is that even a non qualified parent carries good enough educational points and withdrawal of same has effected them as well as it has effected a MBA degree holder.....
Hi Sumit
First of all i wd like to thank you for providing us a platform to discuss our views and try to build a good system. thanx for raising your voice on our behalf.
Regarding the last minute changes, I myself am suffering from the same. I applied in 13 schools and most of them were applied only because they had some points for Qualification/occupation in their criteria. so my points were totalling to a respectable level. I want to ask u Mr. Vohra that this process is going on for the last about 3 months.
1. Y were the new guidelines not made mandatory before submission of the form.
2. Then if our Thankless DOE feels that only neighbourhood points to be awarded then y cant those living nearest get the admission. Some schools are just 1 KM far from our residence and v get admission no where.
3. the point of DOE is that taking out the qualification from the criteria will help give equal opportunities. then may i bring to your attention that few years back only those kids were admitted in good schools who paid big donations. Now only those are getting admissions thanx to the Siblings effect. After some time all our school will look like to be khandani schools While India I heard was a democratic country and full of different cultures and colours so y not treat siblings at par with first kid.
4. Transfer cases also getting good points in infact all the schools. Most of the transfer certificates produced are fake i m sure about it.
5. Even after making changes in the point system none of the school has given the new criteria before finalising the list and even after finalising the list.
6. Y our Govt didnt acted when the schools were charging more fees that was instructed and now they were quick to respond. Y dont the schools give back the fee they charged based on a particular point criteria and now since they have changed so ppl suffered so y not take some action and give the money back.
7. Y not ask from the parents their annual income not to know how rich they are but to see whether they can afford that much. In fact that will solve the problem of black money cz ppl have shown their incomewhile filing tax at such levels that they cant afford the big schools but in fact their income is way above what v can imagine.
8. EWS Category. I personally have seen ppl submitting the form under EWS Category and they were seen coming in high end cars. Can u believe this.
9. Last but not the last i would like to request Govt. through Mr. vohra that Giving Birth to a first child as a son should be banned in India.

I m here if we can make a difference. any help needed from me for getting together will be highly appreciated.

regards
sandeep
Yes it is very much necessary to raise the issue , and made known to the DOE & Educational Minister , the ordeal we parents are facing 10, 20 Schools and no admission ? and then the setback !

The change is criteria has effcted the whole process , and the only the Sibling , Alimuni and single parents has benefited . What about the others .

Educational Minister Pl come up with some sensible parameters .
Hi
I Lost the chance at Heritage , Rohini due to sudden change in the point system by the govt. Other schools where i have a chance are asking for some 50000 to 60000 and they are saying that for this amount we will not issue the receipt. You will get the fee book and fee is separate from this Money.
Ajay
The whole nursery admission system needs an overhauling. Giving emphasis to sibling and alumini points means we are monopolizing the system. Don't others deserve a chance of studying in good schools. It is indeed ironic that each school has its own criteria for selection based on its own preferences. A lopsided and skewed approach of our schools have left many a hopes dashed
Instead of discussing what damage has already happened, Dear All (and Dear Sumit) we should discuss if there is any way out. Because any conscientious mind can say that wrong directive has been conveyed at the wrong time, in a wrong manner. Is there any solution available currently, as future of lot of little kids is at stake because of this upside down directive alone.

I suggest status quo be maintained and transparently results be revised according to earlier respective criterion. May be our ministry be quick and strong enough to draft stringent, well defined and clear policies for next academic year.

Sumit, only irritating point is "HOW THEY CAN ALLOW FILLING UP OF FORMS AND DECLARATION OF RESULTS UNDER TWO DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES"

"HOW FUTURE OF SO MANY LITTLE CHILDRENS CAN BE PUT AT STAKE BY BEFOOLING THEIR PARENTS". They say they wanted to teach schools by revising criterion, but who is the sufferer - Parents, their kids... It is not like Schools had predecided list by having laid down their criterion which govt. has cracked by bringing in revised guidlines. Schools will still have their full seats. We are not against to those who have got admissions, but overall it was highly UNFAIR.
It has been really frustrating for most of the parents who are running from pillar to post to get admission for their child. I am staying in Saket & have filled in application form in almost 10 to 12 schools but unfortunately we haven't got thru in any of the schools. I am really not sure what the issue is but we need to come together & surely raise our VOICE in BIG WAY. What I am more concerned is that if the nearby schools are not taking our childrens than what can we expect from the schools that are far away.

Can someone help me in getting my daughter thru in any of the schools close to Saket....... :(

Sushant
the system has changed form bad to worst...Mr.lovely (the so called minister) thinks he can do anything at any time....as he can afford to do this...because he is a minister.
Well whether its a point case or not...most of the schools are interested in parents pockets....especially world/international or newly formed schools.Rest are calling you for interaction/verification round to check how much u can pay to secure your child admission.....nursery admission have become a business enterprise and these school authorities are playing with our children future
I agree that this statement “professionally qualified parents has an edge over non qualified parents” is not right b’coz every child has the same right to study. There should be no discrimination on money, religion, education, gender, approach etc…… but where is my right ….  I have MCA + CA (inter) my wife is MBA but we didn’t get admission in the schools which are hardly a kilometer away from our house. Just imagine my feeling when I came to know that my house maid got through because she has converted to Christianity few years back. My friend’s driver is enjoying the benefits of that school free of cost b’coz he is catholic.
We had applied in 13 schools in South Delhi and had a big hope in some good schools. We live in East Of Kailash....so many nearby good schools but very disappointed by the result. We had been called in Gyan Bharti, Cambridge, Summerfield etc after submission of forms for verification but due to sudden change in point system, we could not make it to the final list. I only have one school and that is not of my choice, i filled the form to keep that school as a back up and never thought to finalise that. But, I am left with no choice. Who is getting benefit out of all this???
I am scared of giving birth to another child in these circumstances.....and situation will be worst if the next kid would be a boy....What an irony???
