ALL THE PARENTS WHO LOST SEAT IN SCHOOL BECAUSE OF WITHDRAWAL OF PROFESSIONAL /EDUCATIONAL POINTS PLEASE WRITE HERE ..I AM GOING BIG WAY RAISING THIS ISSUE
Surprisingly, based on points system even schools like Vivekanand, Anand Vihar has not called my child for an interaction. No information was given at the time of filling forms that what would be the point system and how it will evaluate.
I feel there is no system in place for admission process in capital. Schools are just making money by selling forms. Schools like St. Francis of Indirapuram have sold forms for 500 Rs.
Thats what my opinion is. We should think of some way out, way to clear through all this mess and yes of course through Mr. Vohra. Time is running out. We should ACT against this unfair justice meted out to all of us.
Can all the parents who have felt the pinch of the arbitrary and non-uniform nursery admission process come together under the banner of admissionsnursery.com and under the able leadership of Mr. Sumit Vohra register our protest by submitting a memorandum to the authorities to undo the wrong that has been meted out to us?
Will this help? I think its time to act more than anything else or we'll surely miss the bus. If there's any delay on our part, the schools and the authorities will cite the difficulties in carrying out the revision of results. Time is at premium let's act now.....
hi, iam ritu midha. We lost in tagore international vasant vihar bcoz my husband is a graduate and i being a post graduate(MCA) didn't work as of now bcoz my family needs me at this time. Tell me where are we wrong we made 60 points in tagore but still we r not in waiting list also. i applied in 20 schools as a whole. but not lucky enough....
Hi,
Changing of the criteria at the last moment is highly incorrect beocs parents were not ready for it, they could have applied for some other schools also if they knew about it. As far as criteria is concerned people will argue that this shud not be there that shud not be there. If we argue about qualification criteria then there will be parents who will say alumini, sibling , girl criteria is not correct. What is correct for me may be wrong for others. So lottery system is the one only left which will have lesser opposition. Govt shud think about it.
I feel the point system distribution is encouraging corruption .............btw who is checking into authenticity of documents?.we all know that people are getting false lease papers For neighbourhood points!AND WHAT ABOUT TRANSFER CASE?transfer case doesnt means parents in transferable job[pls correct me if i am wrong] most of the private sector jobs are transferable!why points for them?is it not easy to secure a transfer certificate?I understand for government job transfer..Pls atleast raise voice for strict checking of documents ......@ withdrawal of points for parents qualification, should have been done responsibily and not like 2 days before results!
I have applied in 8 schools but get thru none. I was scoring good in Gyan bharti, LPS, Indian, Birla Vidya Niketan. But after the new directive from DOE i loose at least 20-30 points in every school. Mine was a girl child, but only LPS gave me the points for girl child and also first child. So I am as unfortunate as the parent of the boy child. Neither Gyan Bharti, nor Birla, or Indian, giving me the points for girl child. I am a post graduate in commerce with professional degree in graphic designing my husband is an Engineer. But still we can't give our daughter decent education for no fault of her. First the DOE is at fault when they scrapped the education and profession point and next the schools are also at fault when they only taken for granted the alumni, distance, sibling, transfer and single parent criteria for admission. At that time they should give some points to the first born, then may be there will be some relief for the parents.
YES with this change in point system who else going to affect only us-"PARENTS". what education minister wants to prouf .we can only say that no school is following system perfectly we want JUCTICE .......as we all heard about modern school they dont want to disclouse there point system.... or when edu-minister say this is the criteria for admission then he should also tell us which school is following that...... because every school has its own point system.some giving prefference to govt servants, chistian community, gujrati status, transfer case, out standing service to nation, single parent, promotion of indian heritage, many more ........ WHAT is all this going on ......we parents ask answer.....when we go to hindu school whether they give us 40 points to be hindu ......then why these chistian schools giving 40-50points to chistians.......is this a not a discrimination....... also when it come to siblings they r given 20 points then what about the first born childs ...... they should be also be provided with same points ....... THERE SHOULD BE ONLY ONE POINT SYSTEM FOLLOWED BY ALL SCHOOLS OF DELHI ...........
My son has not got the admission in any school as he is our first child, we have got only neighnourhood points in every school. If education points are not allowed, then why alumni points are allowed. It is also discremination without any logic. Where our children will study who has not siblling and alumni points. If educational qualifications would have allowed, my son would have definitely got admmission as I am a Company Secretary and my husband is an Advocate. By disallowing educational points, they only want to make money. Now where our child wll study, especially if he/she is the first child. Educational Points has some logic but what is the logic behind alumni points. Why children of the parents who studied in the same school have additional advantage, if parent's education does not matter.
The point is valid and should be raised with concern. The time when most of the schools were bringing their first list out , the points for professional qualification has been removed by many schools due to which my daughter was not able to get seat in VIS, Dwarka, DPS Dwarka, Maxfort, Dwarka DAV Vikaspuri etc. The point that whethter there should be marks for professional qualification of parents has to be decided before the registration for admission to Nursery/pre primary started. Removing it, this time has left many of parents like us with no option to where one should approach for the admission of their child. Even school like VIS has made mockery of the point system where they have alloted 35 points to the sibling casea and 35 points to National awardees. Is this justified. There should be seats reserved for the parents who already have one of their child studying in the school. But list for general category on website of VIS, Secotr 10, Dwarka shows that all the selected cases are either of the sibling category or of National Awardees. Is anyone not being a national awardee or having an child admitted in the same school before are not eligible for admission to thew schools. I dont know where to raise these issues.
Sir, I look forward to this forum for rasing these issues.
Thank you
Renu
I am a Graduate Enginner & PGDBA & my wife is M. Com. & B.Ed.. I applied in eleven schools & being not given the marks for sibling, girl child, alumni could not make in any of the good school inspite of living in the vicinity. Height is this that in this so said secular country we are having schools which are giving admissions in the name of religions. This is a real shame to all of us that we are talking about education as a birth right & from the start of earlier age only we are telling our children about religions & casteism. Are our Education Minister sleeping on these issues.
I thyink Vinay is right on all the aspects of this issue. I am a strong contender for having a protest against this at any given time. I applied almost 11 schools but not successful just because of this point change. I can understand that the schools need to have all kind of children and thus a selection criteria but My suggestion to this would be rather having all the children under one type of assessment, have a quota for siblings, transfer cases, girl child etc. This would give an equal chance to all other children as well. There should be different forms or submission dates for this system. Now the case is that there are many children who have their names in 3-4 schools and the other children who don't have such qualifications have their name in none of them even after applying to many schools. Birla vidya Niketan is just 500 mtr from my house but I have not got any seat it it. Is it the child's or parent's unfortunate that the child born to them is a male child or it is his or anybody's fault that the child doesn't have a sibling, this way the people will be encourgaed to give birth to another baby as they will know that he will be admitted to the school very easily which will in turn be a faliure for the government in their urge and programs to control the population.. I think we all should raise a loud voice against this and ask the schools and DOE to review all the applications based on the old formats this time. They can use this new system the next year. So guys please step forward otherwise we will be living a very ordinary life in this ordinary country where dogs are treated better than humans.
