Ambiguity in the age criteria for admission to pre-nursery..

Are there any fresh guidelines issued with regards to the age of child seeking admission to pre nursery? Some schools insist that the child should have completed 3 years as on Sep 30, 2012.

Upon inquiring with them, the school stated that the Delhi government has left it to them to decide on the age of the child for admission to pre-nursery.

What is the exact requirement on the age criteria?

Are you asking for Nursery or Pre-nursery?

Children born between 1st April, 2009 and 31st March, 2010 are eligible for nursery/Pre-school admission.
Children born between 1st April, 2008 and 31st March, 2009 are eligible for Pre-Primary/KG admission.

Bur upper age limit is not being fixed.

All Schools recognised by DOE Delhi should follow the same DOE guidelines.
