both schools are equally good enough..and its one's personal choice to choose.

thanks sir, We are quite confident and our child replied all the questions asked by teacher but we in doubt that we will selct in APJ or not. Our experience is worsed because of Amity Vasundara. They have not selected our child. Hum to tab bhi confident the we have write the answers of all the questions. After chating with other parents we come to know that they only select the professionals and highly qualified parents. both of us are graduate that is why also doubt to APJ.

but pls keep hope afloat...
i'm sure if the interaction goes pretty well as per any school's standards..then outcome is sure to come out bright..
Most of the schools have a healthy mix of children from parents with different levels of education/work exp..

Thanks Brij. Another thing I wanted to find out is that, actually we stay in Mayur Vihar and can also opt for Ahlcon International later on. Which one, would you suggest, Apeejay in Noida or wait for Ahlcon International.

Hi Lalit..
Its better to have one option always in hand..so if you wish then you can keep Apeejay till the time your child is selected in Ahlcon.. which surely will be atleast 2 months later i suppose.being a Delhi based school...
Both are very good schools for Mayur Vihar residents..

Hi friends...
just got these inputs from some Nursery parents ...listing below..may be of some help...(but one should personally check and confirm at the school during interaction time):
Pls note that these are only Approximation and not confirmed at School..its just to give some idea...----
Fr. Agnel:Total nos. of sections-4, total students approx-200, total called for final interaction this year-771.
Somerville: Total nos. of sections-6, total students approx-250.Form submission final date is 25th Sep.They have started to inform parents for the Interaction by courier. Pls keep a check at your end.
DPS Noida: Interaction started from 20th and will run till 28th Sep.
Vishwabharti: Interaction ended on 18th Sep.
Cambridge: Total nos. of sections-8. Final interaction list will be displayed on Junior school nursery notice board after 11:00 pm tomorrow on 22nd Sep and interaction dates can be on 27th, 28th & 29th Sep.--Pls check.

Hi..buddies repeating here for DPS Noida aspirant's help;
Pls note that this year too they are following the similar process as of last year (as confirmed by some parents)...and again the focus is to access logical and aptitudinal ablity of children alongwith seeing their confidence...and ability to do things on their own without any help---really an interesting and exhausitive process.
Parents's clarity of thought and statement of purpose is being tested when they are called "Pls Introduce Yourself?" alongwith their ability to talk confidentally in such tense scenario infront of an equally talented group of 15-20 other parents.

1. Pls practice your little kid in fine motor skills-Good, neat Coluring with having the skill to identify the standard colours of things viz; sky is blue, water is blue, grass is green, tree bark is brown, mud is brown, sun is yellow, moon is red,etc---as they can tell kid to colour a drawing of any flower, natural sceneray et el.
Practice the kid with puzzles (patterns etc.), Inserting beads in the strings/sorting of beads in different pattern, blocks mantling/disamntling in an orderly arrangement, shapes identification, and any other such types of analytical games ---as DPS strongly checks the aptitude of the child in such parameters than the usual cramming.
Make him learn just a simple good rhyme/poem with clear pronounciation....but its not usually asked.
(hey you can teach beading at home or find some good puzzles, beads, blocks at shop Odyssy in Shpira Mall/Great India Place...or just go to Atta Market in Sec-18 and you will find a cool good shop near the Metro station pillar)
Kid is taken to one room where already other kids and some teachers are doing various activities..some teacher will say your kid to do some other activity and will keep a close watch on the confidence,ease,and perfection of that activity....later they can call one of the parents to watch it from a distance-so a lengthy and thorough interaction of the kid)
2. For parents' interaction pls prepare a short, concise & crisp statement of your educational qualifications, work experience, any unique expertise you do have, your kid's strong positive traits--as they can make you sit in a group of 15-20 parents in a circular table with some senior facluty members listening and marking your answers if they ask ---"Pls Introduce Yourself means-Pls Tell Sometning About Yourselves & Your Kid"--Pls don't be too verbose and just stick to the basics--one can also talk some slient good feature about the school thats why he/she is thinking that his/her kid is fit for this school and stressing that this is the right choice.
(Its not a GD..but a group of parents will be asked one by one..remember both of you give the introduction..i had personally seen and experienced the successful introduction.Preferred time is 1 min for your spouse and 1 min for yourself.Personally i have seen many parents feeling shy to speak in front of others, many are incoherent, many are not leaving enough time for their spouse at a result the faculty interrupting them and telling the spouse to speak-this all goes negative please.Hey its the time of your kid's one of the best schooling chance so put your best foot forward..be confident and speak fluently in those limited seconds you have at your disposal)

Hi Bij, For DPS Greater Noida, Criteria is same or different? Share your experience about DPS Greater Noida.

Also highlight the feedback on Father Agnel, Greater Noida. I have not heard much of Father agnel, Greater Noida because its operations started from last year only.. we got an interaction date for Father Agnel, Greater Noida, So please suggest while admitting in a starting school, is it better or i should choose another option. Since Father Agnel Noida and Delhi schools are very good.
