i am residing in mukherjinagar,north Delhi and i am teaching Gujarati literature in the university of Delhi.my son poorvayan is born on 18th February,2008 and going to complete 3 years before 31st march,2010.i wanna know that which is the best school in my area ?i am not aware because i have join the university in 2008, and a new resident of Delhi.

Dear Dr.Mehta,

you can opt for a good North Delhi school near to your area in Pitampura, Model Town & Ashok Vihar.

There are many good schools like: Apeejay Pitampura (011-27022140, 27012615 http://www.apeejay.edu/pitampura/home.htm), Bal Bharati Pitampura (011-27028600, 27028700 http://balbharatipp.org/), Montfort School, Ashok Vihar (011-27130841 http://www.montfortschooldelhi.in/) , Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Ashok Vihar (www.kulachihansrajSchool.com), Maharaja Agrasen Model School, CD Block, Pitampura.

Also very near to you will be Sant Nirankari Public School, Sant Nirankaari Colony and The Srijan School, Model Town (011-27676796, http://www.thesrijanschool.com/ ).

Dear Gurmeet ji,

The schools mentioned by you are very good central & south east delhi schools.

you can also try for other well known schools near your area like DPS Mathura road, Cambridge primary school new friends colony, bal bharti lodhi road, Guru Harkrishan Public School purana quila road near India Gate,Manav Sthali School south ex., Tagore International School, east of kailash, Bluebells International Kailash colony.

Hi mam,

as per details provided by many schools, the last date till now declared is 15th Jan2011 for forms submission. Then they will check the eligibility, then shortlisted candidated will be displayed and if there is any tie they may go for small draw of lot and finally will release the 1st list may be somewhere mostly after 25th Jan2011 (as many schools already have displayed their 1st selected list out date as 1st Feb2011).

The point here is to go for as many schools as you can upto the max of 10-15 km from your residence to maximise your chances. Ths year it is becoming difficult as 25% seats gone for EWS and schools have not increased their total seats.Add it with 20% management quota, some odd 5% to alumni etc..so General category is left with a miniscule 50% odd seats...

So pls keep more options in hand.
