Mr. Bij, faith has its limitations i believe. I have two children studying in FAS, and my son was selected for second round of interview, the worse part was my husband had to leave for Germany on an urgent assignment. My child was not selected. I have no clue as to what could have gone wrong in selection process because i am sure if my son was selected for the second round then he must have done the needful of child his age, do you think that since only one parent was around, we got discredited or should we approach the authorities with a fresh request.

Hi Manisha...
i think you should meet the principal...as you know very much about Fr. Agnel school and its' prudent for you to keep all the 3 kids in the same school...you had earlier mentioned also that both the kids are doing very well there...
i don't think school discriminates on this genuine circumstance of father not being present as you have mentioned...pls try to explain and put your pints strong across the school if you can..
This school is very strong on its core values ..and at least you can know the real reason from them for not getting your 3rd children selected..

I did not check this thread after our interaction at Somerville.
As already highlighted by Tapan, the waiting period is rather long. We waited for 1.5 hours before we were called in. The interaction was taking place inside the principal's room. On one desk, the headmistress (I think was sitting and interacting with the kind) while the Principal was interacting with the parents.
Our son was asked to recite 2 poems, identify various shapes and colors, identify things like motorcycle, car, etc.
Principal's questions were more focused on understanding the family background and educational qualifications, value systems (do we believe in discipline?), etc.
Overall, as Mr Bij mentioned, the interaction was rather pleasant and did leave us with satisfactory feeling.

Hi all
I need some advice, and rather quickly.
Fortunately for me, my son has been selected at both Amity N and Somerville (yes, I got the call from Somerville school today morning). Since, Amity N had asked me to submit the fees by 23rd, I have already done that.
However, I need to decide between Somerville and Amity N.
Can you please suggest which is better and why?
I have been told by a few friends that Somerville lays a lot of stress on discipline, academics etc. Amity is more higher profile and may be better known. However, the education may not be the best at Amity N.
Any comments will be most appreciated.

Did u get the call for the final admission and was it through courier or by phone?
Coz we checked with the school after our interaction and they said the result would be informed through courier !!..Pls confirm
