Hi Mr. Bij. cud u pls tell me hw is vasant valley school. people hv tld me only kids of big shots study there so d kids r spoilt brats .hw is it education vise. do u suggest modern barakhamba or vasant valley or dps r.k.puram ,bt regarding dps, thy hv arnd 5000 students n nursery admits r 300 so dun u thnk d child vil get less attention frm d teachers as d child teacher ratio is low. pls suggest me other gud schools. 2.im residing in defence colonyt ,south delhi. central n south delhi wud do.

Hi Shilpa ji,
the schools you named are one of the most reputed schools of central & south Delhi. All parents aspire to admit their ward in one of these schools in the area so competition is quite tough and if point system is followed this year too then you can surely know your standing vis-a-vis the important neighborhood distance factor.
Vasant Valley is known for all round development of the kid and so is the Modern Barakhamba or its Vasant Vihar branch.Sports and cocurricular activities are given utmost importance with a good balance of academic rigour.
DPS R.K.P-Consistently the best Academic school Pan India. Best in DPS Society.Very competent faculty. One of the most sought after school for parents.Junior sections — nursery to class 5 — are located in East of Kailash and Vasant Vihar.Even after having such high number of nursery seats the quality of educations is not compromised with balanced teacher:student ratio of around 40-45.So if you get a chance here-pls go for it surely.
Regarding Vasant Valley the nos. of seats in Nursery is very less (total 60, for Gen. category only 25) so the criteria of neighourhood distance, sibling, alumni & reputation of parents in his/her fieldf does matter alot--very tough to get through.I don't know how they fill the remaining 30 seats ...may be from management quota--so your view of high & mighty getting through may have some ground.
You can also opt for any of these good schools other than the 3 mentioned above:- Tagore International, E-Block, East of Kailash.; Amity, M-Block, Saket.; Mother's International, near IIT Gate.; DPS Mathura Road.; Apeejay, Sheikh Sarai- Phase I,Panchsheel Park. ;Laxman Public School, near IIT Gate.; Birla Vidya Niketan, Pushpa Niketan, Sector-4.; Blue Bells,Kailash (Opp.) Lady Shriram College.; Gyan Bharti,Saket.; Sanskriti School, Chankyapuri.; Carmel Convent,Chankyapuri.; Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Lodhi Estate.

as shared by the parents i think good schools in Dwarka are:
Delhi Public School,Sector 3, Phase-I,Dwarka; Venkateshwera School, Sector-10,Dwarka; Bal Bharti School; Mount Carmel School; St. Mary; BGS School; Maxfort School.
DPS is surely the best one in this part of city being it DPS Society's own school with excellent facilities and academic reputation.Rest other schools are somewhat comparable to each other.
Pls meet the parents of existing students in your area to know about the real feedback of these good Dwarka schools.

With the limited know how i'm having about these good Delhi schools i'm giving my views. Pls do a mapping of these schools by meeting the existing parents in this Forum or at the schools itself to have a 1st hand knowledge and then make up your mind. As all aware parents know these South Delhi/Centra Delhi schools are very reputed and elite brands that all of us know something or other good about these schools. So experienced parents of these schools can help us better to enable us to make our informed choices.I request other forum members and moderators to help us.
Modern School Barakhamba Road one of the oldest prestigious school of Delhi since 1933, one of the most sought after school by parents for Sports & cocurricular activities, best in Sports in Delhi.Very famous Alumni list.You can see the elite class of whos and whos of Delhi from this ivy league school. Nos. of Nursery admits-approx 150.
I think the school you have named are all good enough and if you get admission in one or other it will be great to join that. Only criteria of preference in case of more that one choice will be iof you prefer all Girls schools like Convent of Jesus or Mary , carmel Convent etc...or the distance from Def. Colony to the school.
DPS International is slightly costly one and if you are inclined to provide an International level of education to your child then you can go for it.They follow IGCSE university of Cambridge pattern (A level). Junior branch at RK Puram is not so far from your residenceRegarding Sardar Patel Vidylaya, Lodhi Road, parents say that it is perhaps the only reputed private school in India using Hindi as the principal medium of instruction at primary level.Formal instruction in English starts from 6th class onwards, as told. too.
Regarding Sardar Patel Vidylaya, Lodhi Road, ppl claim that it's perhaps the only reputed private school in India using Hindi as the principal medium of instruction at primary level.Formal instruction in English starts from 6th class onwards, as told. SPV is very old reputed school founded in 1958, strong emphasis on all round development of kids especially fine arts and inculcating Indian cultural values.Very good value for money.Nos. of Nursery admits-around 80 plus.
Regarding Online admission forms of previous year, experienced parents of the Forum can help.But as a general thumb rule pls be ready with your attested address proof copy, attested birth certificate copy of the child, educational qualifications certificate copies, passport photographs of the child & parents, vaccination chart of the child (if asked for) etc.

Both the branches of Springdales are very well known and sought after by parents.Having consistent excellent academic track record,a healthy mix of students from different strata of society,competent faculty, one of the best value for money,Good emphasis on cocurricular activities.(Nos. of Nursery admits:-Springdales Dhaula Kuan- around 130 students, Springdales Pusa Road-around 90 students.)
Sriram School Vasant Vihar is one the top rated school and perhaps the best all round development school in this part of country. Established in 1988, the school is excellent in innovative teaching methods and has become the top choice for parents in southwest Delhi.Teacher-student ratio, which is 1:14 in elementary classes and 1:28 in the other classes.One of the best in Extra Curricular activities.Nos. of Nursery admits- around 110. But this can't be compared to the proven academic schools like DPS RKP, Amity Saket, Springdales etc.

As my son got trough in Amity noida and we have pay fees and all by tomorrow.
As my son doing his play school from Mother's Pride, Noida and they insist me to join their formal school Presedium Indrapura.
Kindly give me genuine Advice as eary as possible....i am highly obliged with your suggestion.

Congrats! for getting through in Amity Noida.
As mother's Pride is the chain of paly schools of Presidium, so its natural that they will encourage/insist you for their own brand.
But by all means, if you reside in Noida pls get your son admitted to Amity Noida which is one of the best schools of Noida with proven credentials of more than 15 years.There is no comparison at this point of time between Amity Noida and Presidium (any branch for that sake) as the later is a newer entrant and we don't have sufficient data to justify it. Presidium has a good potential and i think in time to come it can be very good school looking at its focus on all round development.
