Hi Shilpa,

GD Goenka & K R Mangalam schools come in one category which focus on all round development but are costly as per fee is considered.

Mothers' International is a very good value for money school with a balance in academics as well as extra curriculars.

Jesus& mary and Carmel Convent are good convent schools for girls and are comparable to the best ones in terms of academics. Its entirely your own personal choice that you want your child in a co-ed or a sole for girls school.

Regarding Sanskriti school, it is one of the fastest growing school in recent times in all round educational development of the child but as you know major quota is for the top civil servants' kids---comptetion for General category is very very stiff as you can infer from last year's details that out of total 125 seats in Nursery only 25 were open for the General category. And as informed, they were not providing school bus transportation for the Nursery students.

You can find last year's admission sample form (of any school) in this Forum only with help of the Moderators if they have it here..

To have a clarity on typesof documents and other general guidelines of a DPS school pls go through this link of DPS Vasant Kunj's last year's admission process. I hope you can get your doubts cleared to some extent.

http://www.dpsvasantkunj.com/pdf/Guidelines%20Nur-10.pdf

For this year's actual admission forms pls keep visting schools websites from 1st Jan2011 onwards...

Dear Shilpa ji,

Nursery admission age criteria at DPS International School's primary branch (R K Puram), could be set as September 30, 2010, being their cut-off date for the child to be three plus years as opposed to March 31, 2011 (i.e. children born between 1st October 2006 to 30th September 2007). Pls check at http://www.dpsi.ac.in/dpsinternational/default_dpsi_rkp_new.htm after 1 st Jan2011 for the actual & complete Criteria. Admission form can be collected at school's Saket branch from 4th Jan'2011 between 9am to 2pm. (Tel: R K Puram: 011-65683110,  Saket: 011-29561187, 29564889).

Ryan is considered a good school in that area but i don't know much about this school. However today HT Survey has placed it in 10th rank in Southwest schools. Pls see http://epaper.hindustantimes.com/PUBLICATIONS/HT/HD/2010/12/26/inde...

The schools you are vying for is a good chunk of almost all reputed South & Central Delhi schools. I think its quite comprehensive. You can add Mount Carmel & Convent of Jesus & Mary in this list.

All the best.

Respected Bijee

Thankyou so much for the info. I wil log on to d website for d age criteria. Regarding cjm i caled up and they said they admit at 4 plus and dun hv nursery. The schools i mentioned r mostly referred by u only. Thanks a tonn. god bless and thanks a lot for ur wishes. take care

Dear Brij Ji

I am confused for about the structure of Ram Jas School, Pusa road. We went to school were no one was allowed inside but the guard outside told that Nursery admissions are not done here and are done in Anand Purwat branch. On seaching that on net http://www.ramjasdayboarding.com they write it is a day boarding school.

Do you have some idea of this school and how is the school and how to get nursery admission. I reside in Rajouri garden.

Hi Harneet ji,

Ramjas Anand Parbat is a good choice for you. This is a day school (also having boarding facility to outstation students). It has classes from Nursery to 12th Std.The Pusa Road branch of Ramjas is from class 6th to 12th only, that is the reason they sent you to their Anand Parbat branch. (you can later shift your child to pusa road branch at class 6th)

Nursery Forms will be available at the school only (Ramjas Anand Parbat) from 1st Jan 2010 onwards, so pls visit the school that time.
