Mansi ji, Pathways World School, Noida is a very good choice if you want to provide International education to your child for K-12 standard in India so that he/she can easily get a good higher education anywhere in the World. The curriculum includes the Primary Years Programme (PYP – Applied for School) and Diploma Programme (DP) of the International Baccalaureate Organisation of Geneva and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) of the University of Cambridge.

Experimental mode of learning by developing the natural innate talent of the children through various activities is the fore of IB system in primary years. Focus is much more on the methods and not on solutions so the child develops a creative approach in finding solutions which is very good at later stages as the basics are very much clear for him/her than the usual rote way of learning.

I have seen Pathways students learning innovative ways to solve the problems like they very much use the abacus to learn mathematics at early years.

Individual attention to students is provided and there is ample scope of the holistic development of the child.

Currently admissions are on for Pre Nursery & Nursery at Noida campus.

Fee structure definitely is higher than the traditional schools. Pls see last year's fee structure at

bijji,

thanks a tonne for answering my queries. your expertise will quip me to choose wisely for my son.

Talking about my goal for my son's school is to choose an institution which can respect his individuality and take him with the best of professional guidance across academics and extra curriculars from fine arts to performing arts etc so that he can later on choose his interest wisely. i do not wish to put him into an institution wherein on the name of discipline his energy and dynamism is pressed to zero rather i would like an institution to use his energies for his holistic development as he might later on choose an unconventional field for his expertise.

please help me w.r.t. pathways? what is K12 mode of learning? what future do you foresee for the institution?

He has cleared apeejay though he couldn't get through DPSN.

Hi Mansi ji,

I think Pathways can be a right institution for the type of education you want to have for your kid.

K-12 was meant for from KG to 12th standard..

at Pathways they use IB (from Geneva, Switzerland) mode of education, quite popular in the world over with its lateral and experimental ways of learning and not just cramming and memorising concepts...academics does not become such a pressure on kids vis-a-vis the traditional mode (like our State Boards, ICSE & CBSE in that order)..students can later go to foreign countries for further education by clearing SAT..or even in India our Universities eagerly take students pass out from 12th standards of these schools (e.g. DU has separate Grade to Marks scheme conversion for students of IB board, pls see details at link http://www.du.ac.in/fileadmin/DU/students/Pdf/admissions/2011/UG/30...)..

the only catch is that the fee shall be on higher side in such International schools like Pathways..

Extracurriculars and personality development shall be given ample focus alongwith development of students' cognitive skills in such schools so your goals for your child can be met..

pls visit the school and have a personal interaction with the principal or coordinator there..

dear all,saw ad of SARLA CHOPRA DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL for LKG(3+ ON 1ST APR 2013),reg form can be obtained from school reception from 1st-8th oct between 9 am-1 pm or can be downloaded from website www.davnoida.org, ph. no. 0120-2582044/41,0120-4258052/53.
