Respected Sumit Vohar,
Could you please share what is the process of refund in case of withdrawal of admission from school? Please add guidelines as per DOE notification covering terms and conditions which each school need to follow in case of withdrawal of admission for pre-nursery.

Doe says all fee has to be refunded within one month except registration fees/one month tution fees/admission fees..all school have to follow that !!

what do you do when you are clearly stated at the time of the fee payment that only the security amt. is refundable. 3 months fees plus bus fees is not??? Raising a voice then , would risk your child's admission which most of the parents do not want to do. What should be done in such a case??????????

As per Sumit Vohar's said blog, you need to raise your issue with him also with all necessary details.
To be honest, we need not to be afraid of these issues, we need to take challenges, schools are taking parents for granted as they are sure that because kid's admission, we would not be able to take action school. For this excuse of us, these schools are taking advantages of parents. I guess we need to raise complaints with DOE and discuss the issue with Sumit Vohar. If possible a FIR should also be raised against school authorities because its a 420 case of cheating. School Authorities should also be given a hard time so that they can learn session for parents.
Its a big shame that what guidance and platform these school would give to our kids when school authorities themselves do not follow rules of DOE. What impact and impression would parents have with these action of schools.

sonya when u are withdrawing ur child from a particular school then where is the risk of your child admission u will take action against the school from which u r withdrawing not the one u r getting ur child admitted. Many schools have at the time of admission given a different criteria for admission and they have changed it under DOE pressure afterwards that means if DOE gets strict then they have to return the fees after all they cant voilate SC ruiling.

Thank you Ritesh . What i Meant is today I am paying the school fees as per their instructions & today I can not argue as to why the refund is only for security & not tuition or bus fees. So i forgo this risk today as I am not raising my voice even though I know its not right. I feel irrespective whether I withdraw her name from a school or not , it is unfair for the schools to charge exorbitant & refund only the security.

I had deposited 25600 at apeejay,saket.der refund policy was 40 % b4 14 feb, i have given the application on 6 feb for withdrawal.
No brkup of this amt was gvn, no mnthly fees was disclosed.
Can i raise an issue to refund more than 40% to the authorities asno break up was gvn?

sapna as per rule they have to give back 25500 they can deduct only 200 which they say is the admission fee. Since parents are not raising the voice they are making fool of us. My case is also same with apeejay and i had one more parent with me if u r intrested join us we will raise the matter to DOE and will take all necessary steps to recover our hard earn money. When our child has not joined their orientation programme how can they deduct 60% its sheer nonsense.
