this is very true ,even today was our interaction with the child & for half an hr we were just searching for room no3 nobody was guiding us properly even the school staff didn't know where is room no-3  there were no sign board or arrow for directions only room no outside the class

Hi, we too had our interaction yesterday at Apeejay and we found it to be a pleasant affair. We had to go to pre primary block room number 3 and a lady standing guided us to the correct place. Parents were asked why we are opting for the school, our views on home assignments and where we work. I couldn't see what my child was asked specifically but there was a page with different shapes open infront of him and he told that he was asked to identify a circle and rectangle. Also he was offered a chocolate.

Hi Abhishek, For those of us who are in the IT/ITES field may consider this as a bit outdated but believe me there's a whole lot of people not yet acclamatised to IT. Just browse the AMITY/DPS/FAS threads to see how many people struggled to even fill up the online forms. So, please don't take this as an offence. Other than that I found the whole process very well managed by APJ and had a very pleasant experience.

In fact, One of the 2 Qs I was asked was any suggestion for improving the education system and my response was that the school could do better by efficiently using the technologies available. But then it has to be a judicious call as most of the cutting edge technology does have a cost, and schools (generally seen as non-commercial institutions) will have to pass on this cost to parents.

Hi,

  We had discussion with Apeejay teachers on Saturday i.e. 08/09/2012 and the way they have managed the whole admission process was remarkable.They asked couple of questions to my daughter (her first interview) and I was very happy that she responded to each and every questions like:

 - What is your name ? : She replied and told her name.

 - Asked to identify some toys and she replied .. Aeroplane and Bus.

 - Then she got toffee.

They asked couple of questions to me and my wife like:

What do you mean by Discipline and how you teach discipline to her ? We replied on that and seems she was satisfied.

We are staying in indirapuram and I am worried about , whether the residence location is also a critical criteria for Apeejay to Approve or Reject the application ?

I can’t think for such a poor management by school shown as Top 10 by HT. It’s weird to see Apeejay Sec-16A, Noida school process for Nursery admission.

 

The schools said some documents need to be attached with admission form however every form was allocated time for first interaction without checking required documents. Seem they want to earn INR 800 /form.

 

Then to add to problem, all parents were called well in advance then actual time for interaction. Parents can extend time but what about 3-4 yrs age child who feels unsafe in unmanaged crowd and 2-3 hours of waiting.

 

Then we were called in to ask 2 question:

1. How much time you spend with your child?
2. Question to child Mother ---- >  Why are you not salaried or working?

 

The apathy is the teacher ( I would rather say contractor who was working on outsourced process to earn almost 100-200 bucks from 800 total bucks) gave no attention to my responses and keep talking to other teacher sitting next to her. Then we are said we are done with interaction.

 

Not sure why we were called to school for interaction or only to secure their 800 bucks to buy form.

 

In today’s world even Govt. Educational Boards puts result on website but seems Apeejay is not keen to change or either has no technology/IT staff to do the job. Only interested to earn bucks from parents by calling them to school gate for each activity and that to see UNMANAGED result sheet. Not sure if sheet preparer should also need admission back to Nursery class to know how to work on sheet preparation.

 

I would not recommend Apeejay Noida now at least after seeing teachers poorly dressed on interaction day, giving sense that they are doing mercy for parents by calling them for interaction.

 

I am sure Allahabad High Court is away from Noida else somebody must have sued them until now for doing all this mockery to parents.

We had an interaction in Apeejay on Saturday. We were well guided, we were in the morning session and it hardly took us half an hour. The interaction was for 3-4 min. they asked us few questions like what is quality time, how do you manage professional and family life? My child was also asked to identify few objects. It was fine.

They had checked all the documents when we had gone to submit the forms. The only disappointing thing was that they should have put the results online as it was a complete mess on Monday.

Apeejay is taking money for his name and reputation.
