New Delhi: Even as over a thousand schools have not uploaded the details on the DoE website yet, some of them have started conducting drawing of lots on Tuesday.

This has spread more panic and confusion among parents as these schools are holding the process on different dates and there is no uniformity. Parents complained that most schools are not even uploading the details on their website and instead sending notifications to the parents individually.

“There is no transparency in the drawing of lots process. Schools are informing parents individually through texts or mails. They should publish the results on their website for everyone to see. Schools should be doing video-recording of the process but hardly any school is following the guidelines,” said Sumit Vohra, founder of admissionsnursery.com — an online forum for the parent community.

On Tuesday, the forum received multiple complaints from parents who had received no information about the process from the schools they had applied to for their wards.

Meanwhile, around 1,000 out of 1,695 schools have not yet uploaded the details of applicants on the Directorate of Education (DoE) website, the deadline for which was February 1. Of the schools that have followed the deadline, many have uploaded incomplete or partial information.

“My child’s name is missing from the list uploaded by Springdales School, Pusa Road. If the name is missing, there is no chance that it will be there in the lucky draw,” wrote a hassled parent on the admissions-nursery.com forum.

The admission process for nursery for around 1,695 private unaided recognised schools, began from December 27 last year. The last date to submit application forms in schools was January 17.

Dear sir as well as cjm also not giving transparency for selection or how they should select without any declaration as my we are in under 3 but I really don't understand how they select???? As per doe first opportunity for under 3km and they also don't mentioned points what they are doing with us ???plz plz plz help

Neha

CJM is Minority school and as all Minority schools have been  given Autonomy from Hon' HC to frame their own guidelines( Its their choice where to follow DOE guidelines or not ) are misusing Autonomy given to them.No transparency also highlighted by parents who have applied in other Minority Schools.

Also some schools which are under DOE are also not following DOE guidelines and not action taken by DOE this year against erring schools.

See highlighted in HT/Dainik Jagran recently.
