Hi Team,

Like last year, they were doing separate draws for siblings and alumni. Will they follow the same pattern this year. Because if they consider draws of sibling with other general category, in that case chances of siblings will be low. As I have seen in other school they are more focusing on Alumni and sibling. Because first child and siblings have equal points in BBPS. Please suggest do you think it will be fair.

Every school has autonomy to frame thier own guidelines and select criteria.

As far as DOL is concerned, it would be fair.

Hi,

Yes they have changed their criterion this time. Last time they had fixed seats for General Open Category, Siblings, Alumini etc.

But now they have merged all the above categories with around 180-190 seats on offer + Management, EWS and Staff seats.

Yes, It will be a tough draw for Sibling category kids as they now have compete with general categories.

Also last time they invited applications from within the range of 5kms distance from school, its 7kms now. More competition.

Odds are bit difficult, but, No matter how unattainable or Impossible it may seem. If it is meant to be, it will be.

All the Best .

Just one question, where will siblings go?? As per my knowledge, most of the schools are giving more weightage to siblings or first child. Chances of bbps sibling in other schools are minimal. I have filled up 20+ forms, only bbps is the one who is not giving weightage to siblings, I am sure there will be more than 1000+ applications for draw for boys/girls and only 70 applications will be selected. Not sure how many siblings will get a chance.

Absolutely, seems like they have missed a trick here by keeping equal points for First Child and Siblings.

Hi Nitin,

Just made an observation and want to make a suggestion. You mentioned that you are targeting 20+ schools, I would say add few more schools on your list.

Unfortunately you will lose out on many schools on the basis of Sibling, First Born and Alumini points. Increase the list of schools to increase your chances.

I am assuming you live in or around Pitampura you have several good options in your area, whereas you can try for schools in Paschim Vihar, Shalimar Bagh, Ashok Vihar too.

All the Best.
