Birla Vidya Niketan or Bluebells

Dear Parents,

I am confused on which school to chose between Birla and Bluebells. Request you to pls share your views along with some details on which you base your opinion. Would be very helpful.

Certainly it is a personal choice. Just that it is important to have a basis for your decision and I was seeking everyone's expertise to get to that decision. I think it has been a very helpful discussion (not a debate at all).

Bvn in my opinion... Reason 1. It has better infrastructure ... Smart boards since nursery.... Bluebells last that i heard was still trying to figure that out...

Reason 2. Has enough extracurriculars like swimming....skating...etc...all within the school premises and done within the school hours...in bluebells you would need to enroll your kids outside for any of these extracurriculars....

Reason 3... More open spaces and playgrounds in BVN

However, in the primary sections Bluebells teaching methodologies for languages like English is better....BVN is better post class 3...

Reason 4 ... BVN is more transparent and less amount of pressure on parents in nursery and kg... In Bluebells the number of activities which need parent involvement is very high

Hope it helps in taking an informed decision....

P.s. my kid studies in bvn and my best friend's kids study in bluebells.... And this is our honest combined opinion...

My 2 Cents !

Both Schools are Sought After.

Bluebells for Holistic Growth and Academics is better than BVN.

BVN is more Transparent.

But i know many parents who left even bigger names than BVN in last 6-7 years for Bluebells.

Education Commissioner of leading country Embassy has his child in Bluebells he himself is Alumni on DPS.Very Close Friend and is very much satisfied after 4 years of admission because of overall growth and being alumni of DPS MR he did no go for DPS as he got admission in some other DPS also because of Alumni points.

Does Shriram,VV,Sankriti lacking in Transparency makes them less Sought After ?

If looking for Ethical School Go for BVN, Else Bluebells better but lacks Transparency, Yes Expensive Too.

Thank you for such a detailed response. Since we both are working and your reason 4 becomes an important factor for us. Just to know - is your friend dissatisfied with BB?

BB is 1 km from my place and BVN 5. Do you think that really matters?

Meghali,Distance should be Important factor for 3-4 year old Kids.BVN is like other Traditional school which has few ECA.I have many friends children studying in BVN.

@Cosmicsilence SmartBoard were introduced 15 yrs ago by Educomp as the company has gone bankrupt and being taken over.Educomp has stopped providing service from last 3 years and many schools including Bluebells have Removed SmartBoards of Educomp and have opted for Latest Technology.

Schools having SmartBoards of other companies are continuing or to save expenses, They have bought second hand Educomp Smart Boards for spares and have hired technicians or tied up with ex-employees of Educomp for Service.

I find here parents here are being bit touchy about their children schools,but we should call Spade a Spade.

Sometime it can misguides other parents reading reviews.
