Child Overage accdg to new DoE rules. Any other parent with same issue?

Dear all,

According to the new DoE rules, our son born on 26 Jan 2012 is overage for nursery admissions. This rule has left us high and dry. We don't want to falsify his age and apply for admission. Are there any parents out there facing the same issue? We would like to get together and file a PIL. According to US Association of Pediatricians a child is eligible to start nursery at 4+. The DoE rule completely flouts all medical norms.

Thats for sure give a high worried level to a parent, but he must be eligible in last year also, did u try last year admission for him n does he still goes to play school?

we tried last year as well. but I have two boys. they are only one year apart. So the older boy got in last year. we were hoping that the younger one would start this year. He does not go to playschool. stays home.
