confusion regarding admission

Hello...my son's dob is 10 Dec 2012....someone told me that he is underage for 2016-2017 session....nd he is not eligible for many good schools..is it so
..please help me..im really confused

He is eligible for all schools in delhi as he has to be 3 yrs on 31 mar 2016 for 2016-17 session
