Dear friends,

I would like to draw your attention towards DAV Shrestha vihar nursery admission process.

I am the father of a male child having age 4 years 7 moths & 6 days (on 31.03.14). I registered my child at DAV Shrestha vihar in general category.

On 23.02.14, they shortlisted the eligible candidates for the draw. I checked the list & found no name of my child in the list. I talked with the school & they replied me that:-

DAV Shrestha vihar has fixed upper age limit at 4 years 6 months (at 31.03.14). I told them that it is against the DOE guidelines, but DAV simply said that DAV management has fixed the upper age limit at 4 years 6 months.

Then after dissatisfaction with DAV reply, I called at nursery admission helpline of DOE, in the first cut they also refused to book complaint against the upper age issue. DOE representative said that DOE has no control on the upper age limit & this complaint will be rejected. After a lot of pressure from my side they booked the complaint. But I am worried that this complaint was booked only for formalities & expectations of actions against DAV are NIL.

On 26.02.14 at 2 pm (today), school is doing draw for the general candidates.

Therefore I request you to raise this issue & help me in this concern.
