To all the parents who are vying for the coveted seat in this Stupid Race for Nursery admissions in Delhi Schools.

Just a brief introduction, I was in the same boat last year where you people are trying your best to tread out these unknown tides.

I touch base with 65 schools and by the end of the process got an offer from 35 schools (Never got a chance to pursue Management seat because LUCK favoured me at the first attempt).

I am sure anxiety, confusion and helplessness must be creeping and trying to befriend you.

But, I am glad you all made a Brilliant choice of being on this platform. (Still not sure if it is called as Admissions nursery or admission) ;)

These are just my personal opinions refer to an.com for any professional support :)

• Prepare at least 5 sets of Xerox copies of all the documents, Birth Certificate should have child's and mother's name, at least two copies of address proof, and relevant school specific documents.
• Documents Verification calls are merely a tool for scrutinizing/ shortlisting prospective candidates. But, if they require your presence, be there. 
• XYZ date for the first list is just a mirage, everything (verification, DOL, etc.) will be done before that. P.S. Parents who are planning a vacation or going out of town for any reason please postpone it, nothing can be more important than this. 
• Many queries regarding First Child Affidavits, medical certificate, Vaccination certificate, and the an.com team did their best to resolve it. These Affidavits are readily available at any notary and with all the MBBS Doctors (though we are past that point now), but still, for the final documentation refer to format given by the school or approach your nearby Notary (F.C. Affidavit) or MBBS Doctor (Medical Certificate and Vaccination Card).
• Let's talk about the Elephant in the Room 'Management Seats'. Schools have all the discretionary power to allocate these seats. And if you are still wondering how and when to apply for it, sorry, you are running late. But, worth a try.
  How to apply for it: personal connections, approach schools with request letters mentioning how you as a parent can contribute to their esteemed school, also, if available attach pre-school certificates (Fancy Dress, Poem Recitation, Etc). 
  They might /will not ask for any donations straight away for that you need a direct medium. Beware of touts.

Few of my worth mentioning experience.

•  I am sure you all must have prepared an excel sheet accordingly.
• Most of the schools in Dwarka are worthless, don't fret over them.
• If called for documents verification make sure either of the parents is present. It is important. 
• Try to attend all the major 'Draw of Lots'.
• Touts might approach you outside prominent schools confirming a direct seat. Do not fall in their trap. 
• Things will get crazy once schools declare there 1st list. Stay calm and don't surrender.
• Book a confirmed seat and wait for your preferred choice. 
• Most of the schools will refund admission fees whilst deducting the requisite amount. 
• Schools are still not clear with their monthly fees because of 7th pay commission, don't exhaust yourself looking for answers.
• If attending DOL, do share results with everyone :)
