Can anyone tell me if a I can apply under ST category on basis of my certificate although my husband is from OBC category but his certificate is not ready and some schools are not accepting acknowledgement slip of in process certificate and some school even refuse to accept forms if OBC is of any state other than Delhi.

OBC (who do not fall in creamy layer) are eligible for DG. Either one parent father or mother will be considered. Schools are fooling you OBC certificate issued in any state is valid all over India. Schools won't acknowlegde if it under process. So better apply with the proof of mother. File a online complaint in DOE website if schools are rejecting for invalid reasons. http://www.edudel.nic.in/MIS/FileTrack/frmGrievanceRTEEntry.aspx
