Documents Attestation

Hello,

I see quite a few schools listing the requirements for ATTESTED documents to be submitted along with the forms. My question is: Who can attest the documents? Do they have to be attested by a Gazetted Officer? More specifically, are documents attested by Chief Managers/AGM of Public Sector Banks acceptable?

Another requirement for some schools is the medical certificate/immunization record. Do we need to provide original medical certificate or copies (attested?) of the medical certificates to each school?

Can You please tell me if attestation by the Principal of Govt School is acceptable?

 Principal of Govt. School is a Gazetted Officer and you can get attestation and it is accepted.

Latha Ji,

But why attestation is required once self-attestation is permitted by the GoI. Why can't we encourage parents to follow the new and easy procedures.
