how will this work ..so little time is left. many schools have already put up their list and almost all schools are giving weightage to qualifications, some are including profession also.
the whole thing is getting more & more complex ......

I am living in front of New Friends Colony.My home distance is 600--700 yards from Cambridge School New Friends Colony.And both the parents are well qualified and proffesional.But school has given very poor points.
It is my request to Mr Vohra please raise this issue with the school people.
My ward name is Yanis Hasan Khan S/O Tariq Hasan Khan resident of Joga Bai,Jamia Nagar,New Delhi 110025.

yes, Cambridge is not fair,, I have been hardly 2km far from the school. and they have given me just 14-points.. I didnt even go for interaction by seeing such low points,, no chance if already high point parents are there..

We also got 17 points only though we stay within 4 km range ..We also didnt go for interaction for the same reason.
But according to their point criteria (mentioned in the form) getting more than 20 points is very difficult if you do not fall in alumni, sibling, multi-cultural category!

Sometimes doing more is harmful.
We must accept the fact that DOE is just another govt. organization full of brainless and stupid ppls.
DOE should have implemented point system only after completing there homework and laying strict guidelines for all the schools.
I just hope that system improves before next years admission process. I fear that once this years admission process is over, DoE will sleep and wake up only during next years adm process.

Actually with such a little time left how can DOE instructs something like this moreover what will be the basis Alumini - what if your school in which you studied is too far your neighborhood points get cut. Sibling what in first born that too a boy no points. Being a Delhite no transferable jobs no points. Not in a govt job no point .
Were will we go people from other states will get points in all schools and we just from were we passout and in case its far off and havent filled the form of that school now no chance to fill it. Being a Delhite feeling a bigger looser not to hurt anyone
Its crime to be one state throughout your life we dont want to leave our elders here alone its a crime to b e with your family.
Neighborhood criteria is different in all schools . Were is the solution to everything filled forms according to criteria which is now changing. Schools are giving points for central govt. jobs I always thought K.V are for kids of govt employee kids. they are spread evenly allover India. Defence forces has its schools also being alumni of one of those never applied there.
Its to late for DOE to take charge. There has to be solution.

I am very sceptical about this removal of parents qualifications from the point system. For people who are from outside Delhi, live not too close to any school, have no sibling/alumni points, their only hope of getting points would be their qualifications...then if you remove those, what happens? instead of 10 points sibling will become 20, and alumni will become 10 from 5. so even the points one was otherwise getting will disappear. This is a very dismal situation!
For example, I did not apply in Mother's International at all, since they only have all 100 points divided between alumni, sibling and vicinity. That leaves me with zero points, so even though i was keen on the school, i did not even apply.

I am the mother of a 3 year old daughter who is born and till now brought up in Delhi. I am staying in Delhi for the last 7 years and my husband for many more years. We are from outside state of Delhi. . My husband is not in any transferable job or govt. job. She is our first child so no "sibling" point. We studied in other state so no "alumni" points.
Now that make us to sail in the same boat as "Delhite". I think the same thing is happening with lot more parents as me from other state. No school is favoring us for coming from outside Delhi.
