donation for admission???
Venkateshwara Global School Rohini CONGRATULATED us yesterday by giving us a call & saying that our kid has got admission there & we need to DEPOSIT Rs. 50000/- in CASH as development fund charges apart from some rs 25000-30000/- which will be charged as admission fees thru cheque!!!!! they infact emphazised on the word CASH as they are not accepting any cheque for these 50k.does any one have any idea how much this CASh amount would multiply to when the admission procedure will stop in march????My simple query is this are we parents doing some kind of sin if we want to secure a seat in some good school for our kids' bright future or is it obligatory on us to give bribe for this purpose.. i really dont know where we people are actually heading.. why the hell are we parents bearing such kind of nonsense things from so called good schools..jst hav a thought about those people(i wont say them poor as i dont have any right to give names to someone...infact i would say who cant afford such large amounts), dont they have any right to give a better education to their kids.... CAN IT BE STOPPED SOMEWHERE?????CAN WE GIVE A GOOD EDUCATION TO OUR CHILDREN WITHOUT FILLING POCKETS OF SCHOOL MANAGEMENT IN THE NAME OF SO CALLED DEVELOPMENT CHARGES ????

I took up this issue in front of media and 400-500 people at jantar mantar but we have and also c the video in second link of zee tv all my inputs..parents shud also complain !!

Sumit Vohra, president of admissions nursery dot com, informs, "Private schools are breaching government guidelines for nursery admissions. Schools somehow are using their tactics to extort as much money as possible from the parents. They design the admission forms in such a manner that a parent is bound to mention his salary, which is not a healthy practice to follow. Schools are charging donations and non-admissible fees etc and lower income families are being harassed and also denied forms."

You can complain by some different name and different address/fone no ..If volume of complains increases ..it will open eyes of schools through doe !!

Media wants to listen from the parent directly .they wont go on hearsay.and i agree with you .
.if any parent can talk on phone also regarding the same ..we might get some success..!!

Same is the case with all the schools in Noida.
I think we should all gather and do something about it

Two issues- declared results before 1st feb and second asking for donation in the name of some fund

Schools can declare results early ..there is provision with prior permission as per media./doe

But Sumit this leads to a lot of confusion, dilemma and mental pressure. We as parents want the best for our child and this desire to give the best creates havoc. We go through so much torture, if selected in some schools who declare results early and are not as known as the biggies, the dilemma remains for the entire month- should we go ahead with the processing of fee deposit or should we wait for the other schools to declare their results.
DOE should issue strict guidelines to all schools, small or big, to declare the results at the same time so that parents are saved from this big suffering.

Doe has left provision for them in the latest guidelines also.
.ATLEAST DOE CUD HAVE ALSO ADDED REFUND PERIOD ALSO TO BE EXTENDED IN CASEOF EARLY RESULTS..BUT I AGREE 100% WITH U!!
