Adding surnames is ok in birth certificate. But do you think adding can be done so quick. Those lazy fellows in MCD will ask to come after 10 days or 15 days. I feel only name is important for a kid. As I am from south we have initials that is first letter of father and the name only. So in first name place we write the name and last name we write the initial. Where will we search for a surname now and in what basis we can find and add the surname now?  So I request DPS Mathura to just reject the surname. I feel surname in India mostly denote the caste and I feel surname should be banned in India.
