That means who have 70 points will not be considered for draw also...not done if this is the case

parents with 70 points hard luck except in new emerging schools but not at all in most sought after old schools like dps, modern, vv, bvn, sardar patel etc.

So this means one of the nearest school out of sight for my daughter.....

i just did some analysis ok DPS EOK applications:
- Out of total 3905 registrations, 3795 are >70 points
- 79 students are >75 points... hence they wud get direct admission without lottery.
- For the balance 126-79=47 seats, 308 students on 75 points will go into lottery... that works out to a 1 in 7 probability.
- Out of 308 students on 75 points, a whopping 231 students are have 5 points for inter-state transfer... this is 5% of the total applicants... I sense a huge amount of fraud here...cud be 50-60%... and i hope these people get caught...so that will reduce the lottery ratio to 1:3 or thereabouts
- As already guessed, ppl with 70 points have no chance...i fear same would be for all top schools.

Similar data pulled for DPS VV applications -
Points Count 95 21 90 52 80 3 75 240 70 2484 So the draw here would also comprise mostly of applicants having 75 pts.

the final tally is below
95 - 21(5 transfer cases)
90 - 52
80 - 4 ( all 4 transfer cases)
75 - 257 (179 transfer cases)

By the time lottery would b happening..i think most of the seats wld b filled..wht will happen to kids with 70 points..and there future

Areej Khan, in that case, we should go to LG who issued these guidelines. Perhaps he may be having some solution with 70 pts applicants. Anyway, let us pray your expectation of most of the seats would be filled before lottery takes place, should not come true.
