Can anybody update about the interaction with DAV Dayanand vihar and the calling on 13/01 is for parents with how much points?

Attached is the list of shortlisted candidates of DAV sreshta vihar. Around 750 candidates are being shorlisted out of which the lucky ones will be selected in tomorrow's draw. Though I'm disappointed that my child name is not there in list but I wish best of luck to all parents of selected candidates.

I am unable to understand how my kids registration no is after sno. 724 which corresponds to reg no 3422 although the reg no being less than 3422. The sno, till 724 is in order of reg no. After that its a bit random, can anyone explain?

 Dear Moderator 

I completely agree with the flawed process followed by DAV Shrestha Vihar . I just called up the school adminstration and specifically asked 

1) Why list of all registered children with points is not displayed before list of draw ...

2) All the reputed good schools are displaying the list of all the registered children with points so that there is transparency even before the draw.

There is complete ambiguity and  processs is deliberately tweaked to keep parents in confuse state.

How parents will get to know that how seats are filled in order with merit..?

Schools are flouting the  process as per the will... Even they are not allowing to speak with the Principal Ms. Prem Lata Garg..saying she is on leave..

How come Prinicipal be on leave on the date of draw...and admisntartion continuing with it ?  Do Principals have any say in these schools or it is completely managment managed show..?

There are many ambiguities in the list

I know some names who have point less than mine, yet they are in list

There is definate fixing going on

Tarun but if your name is not on the list and you have higher points , it means you must be in confirmed list. the draw only happens when school wants to eliminate students with tied up points.

My estimate says the draw is between students with 50 points. so anybody with score of 50+ points will be in confirmed list.

Pls rectify if i am wrong

Mr Rakesh, with all due respect, i am talking for DAV Shresthya Vihar,

The list they have published is not for candidated to be selected for waiting list, but for Final list to be selected by Draw

Ambiguities are

 

1) why they have not mentioned points?

2) There must be some candidates with Higher points, like Alumni and sibling, i am sure all 773 are not such as i know personaly few of them, if required i can tell names

3) Why principal is on leave on date of draw

4) why points are not mentioned agaist name

I will request also to mention address, as few of the names in list are > 3 kms away so no way they can get highest points

 

I will also request moderator to intervene time and request for more transparency

Tarun, in my opinion there will not be any candidate that is over and above 50 in that list. because you can only compare apple with apple and not with oranges.

So those guys who have scored alumini & siblling points they will be in confirmed list for sure.

So take an example . school has 163 seats in general category.

50 candidates scored alumini & sibling points. so they will take up first 50 places.

now for rest seats there will be candidates with tied point. 

so to choose from them school is taking out draw.

school will only say they will put on final list at 5 in the evening today with confirmed candidates name.

though your points are valid that they must display points against list.

but we as general candidates have to bear the school apathy's.
