EWS income certificates Fraud or Truth

Schools should do more scrutiny of EWS income certificates . Some People show false income certificates and get their kids admitted in school of choice from EWS quota . Even Well -to - do families got EWS income certificates prepared which i feel is a fraud and needs to be checked .

The schools should do scrutiny as well and should be publishing the details of EWS candidates including address of selected candidates. Also police complaints should be filed for fraud cases .

Today i went to a school in shalimar bagh , and one parent who did not look like EWS holding car key was talking about how easy it was for him to get EWS certificate and was pretty confident of getting admission under EWS in only 3 schools he is applying whereas general category is not sure of getting admission even after filling 15-20 schools .

Spending few thousand for certificate is lucarative for them which end up getting admission as well as free books and dress at the expense of increase fee cost for general category students

AN team ,

EWS certificate is a big racket and people are taking undue advantage of the system with no fear . Please highlight this matter in Media and to Education department .

Mr. Khattar, don't worry, if there residence does not fall within 1 km, they will weep and cry. This year it has become a joke for EWS category as well general also. Let them apply under EWS, they will not get, because they have showed their knowledge and over-smartness and it pays.

EWS Neighbourhood Criteria :

DOE Delhi has laid down the following neighbourhood criteria for EWS and DG which was implemented from 31.1.2012 after HC Order.

Admission shall first be offered to eligible students belonging to EWS and DG residing within 1 km of the specific school.

In case the vacancies remained unfilled, students residing within 3 km of the school shall be admitted.

If there are still vacancies, then the admission will be offered to other students residing within 6 km of the institution.

Students residing beyond 6 km shall be admitted only in case vacancies remain unfilled even after considering all students within 6 km area.

EWS are admitted even beyond 6 km even if seats are there . So even with in or beyond 6km , with fraud certificates , they are going to be admitted .

I agreed with Suneet Sethi, there should be some more documents needs to be submitted with income certificate i.e. PAN card and bank statement etc.

Getting fake income certificates/ affidavits are very easy in our country so there should be some other criteria to cross check.

Criteria for EWS admissions is known to parents. However, EWS income certificates, just watch Lok Sabha TV interview of Mr. Ashok Aggarwal, Dr. BK Bedi Principal APJ School and one Govt. Rep Secretary NCERT or some other else.

When a parent and Dr. Bedi raised this question, Mr. Ashok Aggarwal replied, "Applicants with fake certificates are hardly 5% but rest 20% are genuine. I disagree with his statement and even Dr. Bedi disagreed with his statement. It is not 5% .. it is even more than 10%. What a mockery of the system? It is completely failure.

The present guidelines seems to promote paper corruption and moral downfall in the early childhood itself through the seeds being sown by their parents. More over it has promoted Lottery Based Admission. Just ask majority of parents will they like admission on Lottery or decide the school on this basis. Need to know your take.

I agree DOE should take strict action after inspection. DAMC should function in a full swing in each areas. Yes we need a corruption free entry level admission process.

Dear All

There is one more way...If a person is carrying his father business.. and ITR and all even all the income coming into his father a/c. then also one can make Income Certificate from SDM office with zero Income and no one can challenge this... Yeh India hain... Yaha sab hota hain...
