We r so disappointed from this system don't know where to go second child is not getting admission anywhere even the school in which our elder child is going did not give us chance for draw even . what is the fault of 3 year old child whose only mistake is this that he is a second child that too male. And he lives 3-5 kms from the school . yesterday when I met the principal he replied I can only sympathize with u . did I go there to gain sympathy . its like begging for the basic amenities of life. really frustrated.

I really understand the plight. I am facing the same problem that too for first born male child. when to one of the school to meet the principle and was not even allowed to go till the reception. was sent back by the guard saying that the parents are coming every day 10 times. when called the reception they say nothing can be done over the phone.

What I don't understand what it is the fault of the innocent 3 years olds who don't even know the meaning of nursery, still in their diapers (some of them), started talking in sentences and What we as parents are facing is not even lucky draw as it is a just meaningless kitty and taking out the numbers from the bowl.

what to do, where to go, and when this uncertainty will go.

I second you all. Even I have a girl child who is a first born but believe me getting them admitted in a good school is a challenge for us too.
They do give extra points but no surety these girls will be selected. I only see Alumini, Sibling and Minorty people winning the race.

Sakshi,

Please rate the following : St Thomas Mandir Marg, Bal Bharti Pusa Road and Saplings (BIS) Paschim Vihar

St Thomas is only for 2 hours and have timings such as 8 to 10 or 11 to 1 which is making me unconfortable. Does the child having a good learning in these 2 hours?

Bal Bharti is an established school but not sure if it matches with the new age development fundas

Saplings - I am worried about teh quality of teachers and fellow kids. Being from a middle class family, I am worried if teh schools provides values which are very materialistic.

Other parets, please add your views

Balbharti is coed and St thomas has convent culture else not much difference.

I wish too all the parents shall soon get out of this tension of being their ward getting admitted in good school.

@ priya I truly understand in which boat u r sailing during the admission of our first child (female) we also faced similar problems. It was really a big challenge for us to get her in some reputed school. But believe me it is more tough when it comes to second child even more tough when after being a sibling they don't consider u. Ya very true its not a fault of any child our system is only the main issue . may every child gets admission irrespective of their being male of female . all the
