Fake EWS certificates, Who is Watching?
Hi,
Seems like I have a strong penchant of being present at a wrong place at a right time.
Was at a local photostat cum DTP shop cum cyber cafe this afternoon getting all my documents in order for verification. There was a large queue of Males, Females, Couples at one of the system.
What intrigued me was when someone mentioned they were filling EWS forms at that counter, Admissions is one thing which is resonating in my ears constantly these days, so the conversation was hard to miss.
But what followed was no less than a shock and a rude awakening, prospective parents were on call with touts, who were guiding what all and how much to fill in the admission forms. How much yearly income to be shown, what not be disclosed, etc.etc. And everyone there was gloating with fake Income certificates.
I have no issues in someone helping anyone for filling any kind of forms, my concern is about the blatant lies constantly used to abuse the system.
Government has launched this EWS/DG scheme under Right to Education for all, why can't we let it be that way?
I request Sumit Sir, Sakshi, Latha and Team to bring this into the notice of the concerned authorities and there should be a stringent scrutiny of all these kinds of applicants.
Document the Undocumented; Deserving should not suffer.

Yes in earlier years also we got reports of fake EWS certificates being made and we will try to highlight this in media.

Same kind of Scam was unearthed in 2017, hope they will have more stringent scrutiny this time.

My husband colleague was filling the EWS form for 1st Class he said now for Income Cert. they are asking for last 6 months bank details...
Its a Good Move & it should be connected to Adhar as well.

Agreed and some one also approached us.. & to be honest we clearly said him try to get admission thru Gen category not EWS... but he was said "areey schools hi mile hue hai humare sath even school doesnt want to admit lower class students it will disturb the gentry"
& he will make FAKE Adhar Card/Voter ID & other docs. with some other address & all verification etc will be done by some third person we have no role into it. He will call and we need to only visit the school for admission.
He was asking for 2.5 Lakh for this & said you will cover this in 2 year with free education in school.
He nameed Top schools & he is doing this from years now.

Dont' fall into this trap.
See this link, same kind of scam happened in 2015 and once the investigations were done schools cancelled all these admissions.
