You can search this site to get the schools in 8km radius of your house

Accept the location service request or else clear and choose your house location on map to get all schools that lie in 8km radius of your house.

Thanx a lot. I think the schools are given as per aerial 8kms distance. Am I correct? Would all the schools accept it or its just for our reference?

You are right, it's as per aerial 8km distance.

According to the most threads that I have read even the schools wanted that the distance be increased and I feel if they choose the 8km aerial distance then this would attract more applications for them.

I would try to remove few redundant results and also add option to search for defined radius like 6km in future.

I would also prepare the list of most favored schools so that the map doesn't get cluttered.

I tried but i feel it gives location other than schools also or in some cases i can not make out school name from those red signs. Is it possible that it throws out the list of eligible schools once u have given your location address

It gives the list of schools below the map, you need to scroll down and I am planning to add the feature to download the list.

I would also like to share that you can get schools in radius of less than 8km using the following

url:

http://www.schoolinrange.com/schoolcoords/<lat>/<lng>/&...;

replace the <lat> <lng> and <radius> fields with latitude longitude of your house and radius you want to search in.

example: http://www.schoolinrange.com/schoolcoords/28.673634/77.129452/6

you can find latitude and longitude by right clicking the location of your home on google maps and select what's here option.

Well done mr varun for your spendid work.because of you I am abke to add few good school in my childs porrfolio.plz look into the matter , ,whether schools will follow the same rule.i lived in west patel nagar and I can add schools of paschim vihar abd pitampura also.is it correct.plz reply soon
