I am one of the parents who could not get my girl child admitted in any school in Delhi due to the flawed point system prepared by the our LEARNED Minister - Mr. Lovely. He obviously does not know a thing about education so definitely he has copied the concept from somewhere but he is not good at copying also.
You would be surprised to know that the school which is in front of my house has given me 30 points out of 100, how can somebody get admission for their children without submitting false certificates.
I have written to the Chief Minister of Delhi and soon would write to the Prime Minister of India that the brainless ministers must be removed from the ministry.

Most of the unaided recognised private schools want to continue with the 100-point system that was developed by the Ganguly Committee for nursery admissions and which gives weightage to different issues for deciding the suitability of students for admission. But few flaws has to be rectified and common centralised admission process would be the only solution for which Mr.Vohra is insisting the DOE.
We should not look at the issue from schools' point of view. In any case, they will be able to fill their seats, thanks to huge gap between supply and demand. We should look at the issue from the students' point of view. What is the child's crime if he is not 'first child', 'girl child' or whose sibling is not in the same school? What is the child's crime if his parents have no transfer case or are not divorced?
Mr.Akshat
Among all these categories you mentioned I feel Alumini has to be scraped. Mr.Vohra has raised this issue several times but Govt is not bothered. At this juncture will your issues will be acceptable by the Govt?
Mr Vohra has taken the first step. Now it is up to other parents on this forum to follow it up by supporting Mr Vohra by becoming co-signotaries to any petition he files in court or to the Delhi govt. I am ready to join Mr Vohra in any effort to this effect. Mr Vohra should also issue a general appeal on all the groups and discussion forums on this website. As long as parents don't unite, nothing will change. This is the right time to take action as the admission process is yet to start.
Mr.Akshat
If all parents come forward like you we can expect some change. But only very few parents will come forward to support in open.
Hi Lathaa Ji.... Centralized (or zone wise centralized e.g. North Delhi, South Delhi etc) admission process with full transparency is definitely the answers to the woe of parents. In this forum only I have provided my views on how process should be on admission.... I think the best way to move forward in this regard is to take the base of Ganguly report adds public view in it, highlight shortcomings of current process and present our data to authorities. If Mr. Vohra or anyone is seriously pursuing this matter and need my help please feel free to contact me. Thanks.
Tanmeet how many parents you know who would come on camera
sure
