During nursery admissions, school switch will cost more

The gruelling nursery admission process has got tougher for parents this year. With several schools coming out with the first admission list early, parents who enroll their children risk losing a hefty sum if they switch schools later. According to a notification by the Directorate of
Education (DOE), schools are supposed to refund the entire money — except registration, admission and tuition fee — if admission is cancelled within a month.

But schools such as DPS International RK Puram and Bal Bhavan International School Dwarka came out with their first list on January 17, while the second list of many schools is expected more than a month later. The DOE deadline for the second list is February 28.

This means parents who switch schools stand to lose between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 50,000.

“If they take admission after seeing the second list, they will lose the deposit in the first school,” said Sumit Vohra, founder, AdmissionsNursery.com, a forum where parents have expressed this apprehension.

“We paid Rs. 35,000 to enroll our daughter in a school in Dwarka, but we want to get a seat in DPS Dwarka. We will lose our money as the second list won’t come out within a month,” said Govind Malhotra, a Dwarka resident.

Schools such as Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, even mention on their website that no fee will be refunded. The principal, however, said they allow refunds and the website notification does not matter.

WHY HON. HIGH COURT HAVE KEPT THE DECISION RESERVE SINCE LONG? CONFUSED PARENTS ARE BEING PLAYED AMONG THE LEGS OF RICH AND MONEY MAKING SCHOOLS LIKE A FOOTBALL. WHEN THE GAME IS OVER, WHAT WOULD MATTER THE COURT'S DECISION ? SCHOOLS WILL BE GIFTED WITH DOUBLE CHANCE OF MAKING MONEY AND BARGAINING WITH POOR PARENTS. HON. HIGH COURT SHOULD BE REQUESTED TO OPEN JUDGEMENT EARLY, SO THAT POOR PARENTS ARE NOT GET  SPOILED.

MR. VOHRA IS REQUESTED TO APPLY BEFORE HON. HIGH COURT FOR THE STAY ON COMPLETE PROCESS TILL THE FINAL DECISION OF HON. HIGH COURT.

I am a alumni of Tagore International VV but my daughter  didn't get selected in the school list we visted the school several times but didnt get the proper reply also we called several times but they said she is not through.... So no idea wht's going on....
