Sonali, 1st they have given us a one page questionnaire, the main Qs were like this:-
1) What are the qualities you want to build in ur child. (Descriptive, u need to write 2-3 lines on this.)
2) how u spend time with ur child. (Descriptive, u need to write 2-3 lines on this.)
3) What u will do if ur child is not listening or he/she is arguing with u or elders. (Optional, u need to choose 1 correct ans.)
4) what u will do if a child has broken smthng. (Optional, u need to choose 1 correct ans.)
There were other 2-3 descriptive & Optional Qs as well which u need to answer.
Then 1 teacher will take ur child with her to a separate room and ask about colors/animals/letters etc.
Then u will meet principle madam in a group of 4-5 parents and there she will tell whether u got admission or not ?

Just one more question, if the child gets admission, how much are the total charges they (Manav Rachna) are asking for?

We went to MRIS Sector 46 , and our daughter and us got through the admission process. Amity is nearest to our house an we are waiting for round two there, also waiting for DPS Sec 43... we are totally confused.. should we go ahead with the admission process.. approx 75000 Rs, 15000 is totally deductible..pls help

Sonali, Go for MRIS 46 as it is very good school focuses on overall development and activities along with academics.
Amity and DPS sec 45 are only academics based school and what is the guarantee that you will in these schools.

For Suncity age should be 3+ as on 30th Sept 2012 for 2013 -14 admissions for nursery. And 4+ for KG. It is mentioned in form that age as on 30th Sept prior to the session of joining.

Its either 3yrs on 31 mar 2013 or 4 yrs ON Sep 2013 or 3.5 yrs on Mar 2013 in ncr- SIMPLE LOGIC THE AGE IS CALCULATED AS PER ACADEMIC YEAR
Yes for suncity its 3.5 yrs on 31 mar 2013

Hi Ramesh,
It is mentioned on their application form that its the age as on 30th Sept prior to session of joining. I guess, say for nursery, the child should be 3+ on 30-Sep-2012 for the admission sought in 2013-2014 batch.

hi, I was called for interaction in SCOTTISH HIGH today and we went.
Stage 1: the time given was 10 am and a teacher took the child at 10:05am. the child who were not comfortable alone they were taken with single parent (mother/father). Dont know actually what they asked or did inside the class.
Stage 2: Interaction with the Principal and it was also nice, just your intro. four parents were called in a group.
Stage 3: Interaction with the chairman, again just intro and this time group of 3 parents.
Now they said this is all for the day, and they will call by today evening or may b by tomorrow to inform you if your child is got it or not.
So again waiting.

I think they only call if the child is selected, and that call comes mostly on the same day but there have been cases where parents have got calls even after few days. Last year I got the call at around 1 pm itself, but that was for pre-nursery where the interviews were over by 11 am I think.

last year they gave 2 days...
