Anil,

You are right ICSE board is something which is still quiet new for all & to be on safer side its allways better to go for CBSE which is universally acceptable everywhere. ICSE may be a good option only if we are almost sure that our kid will be goging abroad in near future.

Secondly, CBSE is also now getting upgraded to CBSE-I which is basically a amalgam of CBSE & International curriculum. Moreover schools are already being asked to adhere CBSE-i in most of the schools by Indian government due to which schools like Salwan, DAV are already using it in their curriculum.

We submitted form around 10 am. and honestly  we were under the impression that for mere 30 seats admissions must be closed by now, till we got a call!!

For LVIS we were amongs first set of parents called for Interaction and we deposited the fees.

Since I am new to gurgaon most of my perception about schools has been formed based on internet research and I find LVIS and SH almost at par overall, with its own set of pros and cons.

My priority list in that order  was DPS 45 (we didnt get thru draw of lots ) , Amity -46 (we dropped the idea bcoz amiown is quite far from our  place,although the main wing is near to were we stay), and then LVIS or SH (which ever we get through).

Now that we have option to chose btwn LVIS and SH I am highly confused.

@sakshi,Just read the article on the top ten schools in hindustan times.just wanted to know why scottish high is nowhere on the list?thanks..

Upasana - the school would be ranked in the "international or global" schools category. Check this link for last years ranking http://issuu.com/hindustantimes.com/docs/international_schools_fina...

However, why shiv Nadar is not in top 10 when most in the forum hv +vie feedback. It is good to see that Lvis rank is moving up. I am sure in few years it will be within top 5

Can you understand why survey is published at the peak season of admissions and not in Jan or July.Tomorrow Noida / Ghaziabad/Faridabad schools survey will come.

We don't endorse any survey. The feedback of parents is the only genuine feedback .

Don't worry Scottish High has really decent feedback and do you think schools like salwan, and Dps sl are better than Scottish High.

Pallavi,Both schools are good but LVIS interaction means you are selected and SH interaction does not mean you are selected'

Which board you prefer ?

Parents confirmed 40 k would be refundable if you withdraw from SH(pls crosschk)

Thanks Sakshi and parents for replying.

If its a choice I have to make based on Board, i prefer CBSE. Mainly bcoz we are in a transferable job and u can not easily find good ICSE schools at all places.

Just hope my kid is not losing much by choosing LVIS over SH.

Also must thanks Sakshi and other parents for being so prompt and helpful. Really informative site especially for people like me who r new to Gurgaon. 

Any inputs on refund policy of SH and LVIS?? Please reply.

i am aware as one parent mentioned that you get 40k refund in SH

LVIS no one has mentioned till now.

Sakshi thanks for your reply. All my apprehensions r now put at rest.we are very happy about getting our son's admission in scottish high.i know there has been a lot of criticism regarding the admission process,standing in line at 2 am etc,but I think thats the least we can do for our children.at least we know that it is in our hands if we collect n submit the forms early.unlike schools where lottery system is applied where there is 50:50 chance or where distance is the criteria
