Hindustan Times 16 Apr - Parents confused as few schools open gates for nursery children
NURSERY ADMISSION ACTIVIST SUMIT VOHRA HAS FILED A COMPLAINT AGAINST 10 SCHOOLS THAT STARTED CLASSES ON TUESDAY
NEW DELHI: Confusion among parents over the admission process increased as only a few schools in the national capital started classes for nursery on Tuesday.
The Directorate of Education (DoE) issued an order on Tuesday evening, citing the Supreme Court’s (SC) stay on the admissions. However, there is ambiguity over what the SC order dated April 11 exactly meant.
One set of legal experts claim that the order does not stop the admission process and that schools are free to start classes. The other group says the apex court has put a stay on the entire process and starting classes will amount to contempt of court.
Sumit Vohra, nursery admission activist, has filed a complaint against 10 schools, which started their classes on Tuesday. However, he is unclear if any action will be taken against them.Hindustan
“With so many orders being passed, our course of action has become unclear. Lawyers have not been able to interpret the SC order,” said a DOE official.
After the high court (HC) had said that admissions under the first list could take place, the directorate on April 4 had passed an order that the admissions had to be completed by April 9 and schools were free to start classes from April 15.
This DOE order finds no mention in the Supreme Court directive, but a clear go-ahead has not been given either.
The high court has scheduled a hearing into the matter on Wednesday. It had asked parents whose wards were selected in the first list to get their admissions done by April 9. It had also asked all schools to provide admissions details to the DoE by April 12 so that they could be submitted to the court on Wednesday. Many schools have not submitted the admission details to the DoE, despite a reminder.

when is SC scheduled to hear the case?
I told you all, aaj ki hearing ki koi value NAHIN THI. High Court will not comment on anything if the case has gone to supreme court.
Sakshi mam do you have any idea of the next date of hearing in SC.
Please reply
Chandra it 21 Apr tentatively
Sakshi maam what is the relevance of another hearing of HC on 7th May when the case has gone to SC and if SC has to take a decision. If SC takes a decision that is final and binding- what would HC see on 7th May and conclude basis SCs decision?
I THINK WE SHOULD ALL REQUEST ALL THE PARENT WHO HHAVE FILED CASES TO WITHDRAW THEIR CASES AND LET THE ADMISSION PROCES GO ON. MAY GOD BLESS ALL CHILDREN TO GET ADMISSION BUT GOING TO COURT WILL NOT GET US ANY ADMIISION ONLY STARTING THE PROCESS WILL MY REQUEST TO ALL PARENTS WHO FILED PIL PLEASE LET THE ADMISSIONS START AND LET YOUR WARDS GO TO THEIR SCHOOLS. PLEAASE

Tentitevely on 21 Apr te
I called Mira Model(Janakpuri) to know the status of available seats there. They told me that all the seats are filled up and they have no seats and their session already started from yesterday.
What the hell is happening?? On 11th April, they had seats but SC stayed the admissions not on 16th they have no seats?? Admissions going on even there is a stay by SC? Schools making a mockery of system and making full use of this mess to fill their accounts!
