Classrooms empty but schools are paying teachers, maintaining infrastructure
Their children may not have started school yet but parents of tiny tots are having to worry about their school fee already.

The children may start nursery classes in the coming week, or what seems more likely, after the summer vacations, but parents will have to pay the fee for the entire quarter.
And it is not the fault of the schools either. While children usually start school in the first week of April, the long-drawn litigation has meant that classrooms have remained empty so far. The schools, however, have not stopped paying their teachers or eliminated the infrastructure that comes along with running the classrooms.
After Monday’s deferral, the final decision on the nursery admission process is expected on Wednesday. It is only after that that schools will start the second draw of lots to fill up the vacant seats. While a few schools have started classes already, a large number of seats still remain vacant.
The second phase of the admission process is likely to start by the end of this week or early next week. Schools usually close for summer break in the second week of May. The children, therefore, are expected to start school only in July now.
“This is a very peculiar situation where we will have to pay the fee even when our children have not started school. My daughter is still in play school and if the school demands the entire fee, I will have to pay double,” said Amit Yadav, a resident of Rohini.
According to the directorate of education, they have not yet decided on a road map for the fee.
“We are focussing on getting the admission process started as of now. Even when we discuss the issue of fee, we have to recognize that schools are still paying the teachers and are managing the infrastructure. We will have to think about the issue after proper consultation,” said Padmini Singla, director, education.

Sunny, That is why stop this issue. Raise it immediately after the session starts. We are responsible for it taking to July. Fee is secondary issue. Education is above all. Now it is in reverse gear. Everyone is having hard earned money. Any responsible person should not have spoken this way, agreed, but the other side of the statement if seen, is purely as per law. Hone ko to bahut kuch chahiye tha, lekin huwa nahi.
Let us Stop this fee issue and DoE or SC ke kano me is baat ko pahuchaye ki session coming Monday se shru kiya jaye nahi to aur do mahine education se vanchit rakhiye apne bachhon ko.
In reality we parents are not the sufferer or the losers, our wards are the real losers and we are just keep on going ignoring their education. Any I am going offline.

Thanks you spoke on my behalf. I know very well that schools will neither refund or adjust any amount which we have already paid. I would like to share something with you, there is a minority school in west delhi (i request don't ask the name as there would be many parents on this forum who must have taken admission for their wards) which started its nursery session from 1st week of April and now calling parents and asking for LED, AC, Computers etc. so my point is, am i wrong if i am expecting for some adjustment from just one month fee?

Risha, I know names of these schools. Demanding such things from parents is highly condemned and it must be discouraged at large scale. Let stings be carried out and teach these schools a lesson. I support for such causes.
But again not agree with you for your comment "some adjustment from just one month fee" against demand of such items. It means we are actually encouraging corruption by attending them in lieu of fee adjustment. This is not correct.
Just request how many parents will agree to your idea of some adjustment in lieu of fulfilling LED, AC, Computer etc. I think "NONE.

Anyway just want to clear i am not going to file any petition for Fees adjustment, means i am also more concerned about session rather than fees.

and why are you always against parents??? what are you doing on this forum "mukhbiri of govt. and schools"??? explain and justify please...

He himself said in his previous post that it is waste arguing with Mr. Maharam.
I am surprised that he invites parents to participate in discussions and calls it healthy debate, now when we are discussing here without his invitation he is calling it "chinta kashi".

Risha you are mistaken, I myself did not said waste arguing with me. It was for someone else who used these words or quote for me and he is Mr. Mahesh jain. Also make the debates healthy with arguments in support of your comment or criticize with arguments against the comment. But that must be justified with the valid reasons. Prove me if I am wrong in my comments.
And for your information, let time come I will also comment for parents and has been commenting for their interests, but not without analysis.
I was the only person calling these guidelines totally flops, the day these were declared and no one commented on my comments, because you might never had an experience of analyzing such guidelines ever before.
This is a hard to crack truth, when we keep our interests above others, we are failed. Rise above your personal interests and work for all.
Do you or any other parent has reply to my first comment on the fee issue like salary deduction due to natural calamities. Forget about one day salary cut going to President or Prime Minister or Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
If you have the reply, please comment. Same thing for other parents also. I am not biased on my take. Now someone named as like a politician. What is this? Not accepting the reality.

Yes maharam sir its a total waste to argue with you.... particularly on this topic... you will never understand the problem of parents coz you had done qith yr kids education 10 years ago.... those were the old good days sir.... and year after year this business of nursery admission is geting worse and worse.....
And i want to add one thing here EVERY PARENT WANT THERE KIDS TO GO TO SCHOOL AND FEE AND MONEY IS A SECONDARY THING..... WE PARENTS ARE NOT LIKE GREEDY SCHOOLS

Mahesh , if it is so, then why don't you request parents to stop discussing all issues except for commencement of session. Why IST, why fee, why 70 pointers? Why everyone is keeping quite on immediate commencement of session. Now everyone is ready and agree with session in July. No care for your kids education. Tell me are all other issues more important than studies of your kids? Why don't you speak for loss of the studies being a teacher. You are also engaged with other issues. Atleast you make others to understand the urgency of session and loss of studies. I am disappointed with your attitude.

Maharam sir...everyone cares for there kids education ask everyone and they all will say that session must start ASAP and fee refund is not an issue at all....
Sir i am fed up with the attitude of schools .... they are rejoicing at the mess created this year..... as i had seen school management people cursing govt for making such guidelines and they justify the things they were doing in past....

Dr. Samar, I am not a mukhbir. I am just trying to change the mindset. Why are we so interested for personal interests? God has send us for protecting our interests only. If everyone thinks like that, then who cares for downtrodden or helpless may be for any reason. You said I am ready to spend 1 lakh for a quarter, but showing so much anger for Rs. 35000/- Only few parents are commenting to start the session because they are more concerned about their studies and not fee. Do you mean their earnings are not hard earned ones? For whom you are earning - your kids? Am I wrong?
I also appreciated you and many other parents when they write unbiased. I criticized schools also. You can read my comments for years together. I have seen majority of parents here for their personal interests only.
Just help someone selflessly and see level of your happiness. I am not against parents. I am just trying to remind everyone "Please know your self and your potential". Let it should not go un-noticed.
