No school shall, while admitting a child, subject the child or the parents to any screening procedure, says the act that guarantees free and compulsory elementary quality education to all children aged between 6 and 14.
Students applying for Classes 6 to 9 in Modern School have to take the test on March 22. Gyan Bharati is done with it and results will be out on March 9.
Modern School principal Lata Vaidyanathan told HT admissions to Classes 2 to 8 were done without a test.
But the school website says something else.
“An entrance examination is conducted normally in the second or third week of March and the candidates are tested in the subjects of English, mathematics, science and Hindi,” it says.
"The candidates who qualify the written examination are called for an interview and they must be accompanied by both the parents," says the Modern School website.
Vaidyanathan claimed that the notice was a mistake.
For Amity, Saket, forms were available online till February 15. The website, too, says admission will be based on a student's performance in the written test. The school refused comment.
A complaint was sent to the directorate of education (DOE) last week by Mr Vohra
"Despite the complaint, no action has been taken. Why can't the government have a regulation for admission to these classes as well?," said Sumit Vohra, founder, admissionsnursery.com, a forum for parents.
The DOE would take strict action against the erring schools, Delhi education minister Kiran Walia told HT.

3 Are School Authorities ready to change the age criteria to Min 3 years 31Mar for Nursery from next year ( Sir , we are biggest parents community of 55,000 parents in India and i got max queries in last one week related to Mt Carmel)

Even in Nursery admission transparency is lacking at least in East Delhi School. For instance Ahlcon International which is considered as No. 1 school in East Delhi only 31 admission out off 88 has been taken in the first list and they have come out with second list having 67 names in it (though no information available as how many seats are still vacant), but Bal Bharti School, Swasthya Vihar has only displayed the first list of 111 student and thereafter no list have been displayed by them, even no information about the second list available when asked to school official. My question is when school like Ahlcon was persuaded to display the second list (No. 1 School) as the seats were vacant almost 70% after first list what is good about Bal Bharti, Swasthya Vihar where all the seats are full from first list only??? I had requested Mr. Vohra to raise this question in other thread however, nothing has happened till date. I don't know who is going to raise this question to DOE and as to whether any action will be taken by DOE against such school. All nexus.....
Shivenendra, We had Posted all list for Ahlcon Int long time back , i a mposting it again and if you have any grudge againt any school you can post it on DOE website

Dear Sakshi,
Please read my view carefully, I have grudge against Bharti Public School which is not coming up with the second list. I had compared Ahlcon Int. which I know had come out with the lists as you have also mentioned. What I meant to say is when School like Ahlcon Int. had to come out with second and third lists what is special about Bharti Public, Swasthya Vihar where the adomission are closed only after first list.
You have mentioned Bal Bharti school Swasthya vihar (as no Bal bharti in that area) in your first post which itself is confusing, anyway pls file your complaint.on following link if any

With real time evidence why can't DOE take needful action against the complaint filed by Mr.Sumit Vohra with DOE using it's real powers? Why can't the RTE redressal system function efficiently?
I welcome the best suggestion given by Mr.Vohra stressing for a regulation of admission process in all classes to make system more transparent. DOE should take this issue seriously and try to implement from next session.
DOE should take strict action against the Schools allotment land by Govt. Agency who are not allocating the requisite seats for EWS.
Yes mam you are spot on
All of parents have their points for justification nd all of them are true to certain level too. The only response to all queries in everyone's mind is that each and every school can lay their own principles and our Respectable Jurisdictional and Government will not ply any rules for admissions. so be it Ahlcon or Bharti National or BVM or any other, Take it as it happens or if we have to amend the rules then all suggestions should go to DOE but from a single route and what better option then Admission Nursery.com, so that it can start working on amending admission policies.
