Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools
Great Step...but might be too late. Many schools are anyways not following existing rules. Unlikely that they will follow this last minute rule.
ARVIND HAS TAKEN THE RIGHT DECISION OF CANCELLING MANAGEMENT QUOTA GO AHEAD WITH ARVIND !!!
excellent step by CM Arvind Kejriwal. Get it implemented strictly. Scrap all the discriminatory criteria . don't spare any school and any taut who r interested only in minting money and not concerned with the future of the children.
Alumni points should also be scrapped. Giving points to alumni is a discriminatory policy ensuring that only the kids of parents who went to top schools will go to top schools.
sibling, alumni, first child, girl child....all abolished guys....read the news in depth...only EWS stays, rest all gone
No Alumni, sibling points are still there, only change is that there can not be seats reserved for these categories, but extra points can be allocated.
This means that if I am NOT an alumni, or sibling, then I CANNOT get admission at all now. If alumni/sibling quota existed, at least there were open seats for which I would be in a lucky draw. Now, number of people with alumni/sibling points will be more than total open seats and they would have higher points.
Yes, you are correct this will harm in cases in which candidiates with alumni and or sibling points are higher than the seats. Alumni points itself must be removed. Schools having fixed alumni quota were at least ensuring that some seats will be open to all. Only benefit could be in cases where there were not sufficient alumni/sibling candidates but still seats were reserved, but this is not the case with any top school.
Exactly. And most good schools have alumni/sibling quota exactly to allow some open candidates to come in. Conversely, Alumni/Sibling quota is only present in good schools. So, this will crowd out the general public from open seats.
Another problem is allowing siblings but disallowing first child points. They have also allowed alumni points. Completely nonsensical.
This government hasn't even looked at the data before deciding.
Will this still help???? This is a big question!
1) there are various "brokers" who guarantee admission for a cost -- they will flourish.
2) people who have approach in a school pay a cost for their ward's name to appear in the official first list and nobody gets to know about this.
3)some of the very good schools in south Delhi are not entertaining students from areas where the school transport doesn't ply.
The schools should be asked to put chits which each applicant's name in a box and the draw of lots should be held in front of the parents MANUALLY. the Authenticity of a THE COMPUTERISED draw of lots is at all reliable. as otherwise, the schools will find out some other means of punishing the parents.
till the time the darw of lots is left to the school the Nursery admission will not be fair.
its a good decision. we are happy with this decision and support our honorable CM in this decision.
