I would like to understand how the lottery system is working
I have only 1 daughter. So I have only 70 points for schools in neighborhood. Looking at the lists from recently released list not a single child with 70 points could make it to the cut.
So I would like to understand whether children with 70 points are even being considered for the draw.
Also, what about the draw for girl child . If they dont get selected in the girl child slot , would they be considered in draw for general lot as well.
No school has clarified this .
It seems no amount activism can help the people who go by the law. I could have easily secured a transfer certificate from my office ..
I can tell you it is piece of cake to get such transfers from NCR in private organisations.
Looking at the list I believe I should have done it ..

Fully agree with your comment Mr. Arun, in-fact I'm facing exactly the same issue. And true, I'm also regretting now for not applying as "transfer case" though it was equally easy for my case :(
Till now saw list of 2 schools in my locality and both have their cut offs at 75..this is ridiculous. Instead of transfer case they should have selected "first child" criteria

@ Chhavi - How was it easy to get a transfer and then back into Delhi ? Remember, schools are doing additional checks than just relying on the certificate from company. Your application can be cancelled if found fraudulent. Then you lose also on the lottery , if it comes to that.

Yes, girl child will be eligible for both general and girl quota draws.
Most schools are yet to come up with the lists. It is mainly DPS and MIS where 70 pointers are not getting selected. Once these tfr cases take up admission in DPS, rest all schools will have seats for 70 pointers.
It will be frustrating wait, but the fact is every child does get admitted to a decent school. It is only those who focus only on 2-3 brand name schools that suffer if the child does not get into one of those.

Not only DPSs, even Lancer convent had just 3 seats for 70 pointers.

For now yes. But , in south delhi there would only be x number of tfr cases. all would have applied to DPS. First lists of rest of the schools will be almost same as DPS. Parents will get admission in only one school. Second lists will open up lots of seats.
