Hi! Just wanted to know is it advisable to opt for IGCSE curriculum schools? I have 2-yr old kid and I was looking for admission in play school wing of OPG World School, Dwarka, New Delhi. OPG follows IGCSE. Any reviews for this school?

First confirm whether it is recognised or not ,anyway our core team head (dwarka ) will ans soon

OPG World School is just another school in Dwarka with tag world or international in name. It has not yet recognised to any board still. Without recognisation it carried a full page ad in dailies too.

I went to through a best review of this school in facebook. Go through this link.

A recent incident in OPG World School, Dwarka has raised some embarrassing questions on  the issue of child rights in urban Indian society when a 7-year old girl child (Laasya) was confined by the management of OPG world school, (Sector 19, Dwarka) for 7 long  hours. All this was done to blackmail her parents into withdrawing her from the school, as they have raised some management issues in a recent orientation meeting with parents at the school in presence of the Chairman, Mr. Satish Chandra. The School orientation meeting happened on Friday, the 20th April and the child was sought to be evicted with a unilateral School Leaving Certificate on Monday, the 23rd, which the parents refused to receive. Therefore, the child was not prevented from going to her class and confined to various places in the school for the entire 7 hours of her stay at school. Since that day, the child is unable to go school unless there is a reasonable action and assurance that the management will not illtreat or discriminate her.
To quote the distressed parent Dr.N.Raghuram “When I raised questions against these monopolistic, anti-competitive, restrictive trade practices in violation of consumer rights, the school is trying to evict my child rather than run the school within the limits of the relevant laws. The child was very stressed after we brought her home last evening and had a bout of bronchial attack, which happens whenever she is stressed or allergic. Today, the child was very reluctant to go to school and we parents are equally concerned that the monstrous school management, who can wrongfully confine a 7-year old child for 7 hours for no fault of hers, can even physically harm her to force us into submission to their whims. As working parents, we are unable to go to our offices without sending the child to school, and we can no longer trust the safety and welfare of the child. OPG world school has tricked many parents into spending lakhs in the name of quality education and is now intimidating parents and harassing their children for raising questions.”
The Article 39(f) in The Constitution of India 1949 clearly states “that children are given opportunities and facilities to develop in a healthy manner and in conditions of freedom and dignity and that childhood and youth are protected against exploitation and against moral and material abandonment.”  The role of teachers and the school in the development of children is immense. Since, children spend most of their childhood in school, it is the responsibility of the School to provide a healthy environment where a child is not denied to her basic rights to freedom, dignity and education.OPG World school not only abused the rights of a child but also caused emotional trauma to the child and family. To use the child to manipulate the parents is a condemnable act for any institute of learning.
Though the parents lodged complaints with the relevant authorities, voicing public outrage is critical for prompt action to restoring her right to go to her class. This case raises an important issue that right to education is not just about getting admission or going to school, but actually about going to the class and getting education.
OPG World School is neither recognized by the government nor affiliated/accredited to any credible educational authority. It has hidden this fact from the parents.
As per Section 18 of the Right to Education (RTE) act, 2009, "No school other than a school established, owned or controllled by the appropriate government or the local authority, shall be established or function, without obtaining a certificate of recognition from such authority by making an application in such form and manner, as may be prescribed"
Please raise your voice against such subtle exploitation that well educated middle class citizens of India often face but are afraid to confront it .Let us show our support to these brave parents who have decided to fight for a cause far beyond a personal one.
