Untill and unless alumni points are scrapped together with transfer pointers than only we 70 pointers will not get seat in any school. As I feel in all schools where draw is for 75 pointers ,50% are alumni and hence they are in waistline.now  those  seat will get confirmed after transfer r put in 70 points and there will not be any chance for 70 pointers.Schools will not take the pain to redraw and they will only fill the vacant seat from the wait list. Alumni r always welcome in every schoolSo we have to appeal for scarping of alumni points also and only than it will be fair for all kids..

I am for scrapping of Alumni points......

a) Sibling + Alumni= 70 +20 +5=95 (Is it a guideline or funny picnic?)

b) Sibling =70+20=90 (Justified)

c) Alumni= 70+5=75 (Not justified)

===========How it should be=================

a) Sibling =70+20=90 (Justified)

b) First Child= 70+5=75 (Justified)

Why a family should go to a particular school if you don't want the same family to run your country? In a democratic country why feed to the worm of dynasty ?

yes. If alumni points scrapped , then siblings points should also not be considered.

Please think with cool mind, sibling point are practical and it cannot be misused. How parents will manage if two kids are going to two schools one 8 km east and another 8 km west? It is too much for little kids. I had no luck till yet but still i am not against it.

Sibling points are justified for two reasons:

(1) If every seat is left to draw of lots, the two children would be studying in two different schools, in some cases 16 kms apart. This would happen in almost all cases.

(2) Sibling points are non-discriminatory in the sense every parent today getting sibling benefit has already gone through the pain of admitting the first child once, and every parent going through that pain will tomorrow get that benefit. Hence it does not create or benefit a special class.

Supporting your suggestion

I completly agree with above. Parents whose one kid is going in a school, should get this advantage to send another one to same. Its economical and practical as well, especially if you are working parents. In our schooling times also parents used to prefer siblings to go same school , so why not now??

Ha Ha Ha

If no Alumini then why 1st Child also.

Were you sleeping when the initial guidelines were issued by LG

Totally Agreed with Ranjan.

I am sure later you will cry for 5 points for first child since there are maximum parents with first child only who are going for the nursery admissions...
Justice would be if these 5 points should be given to kids who are physically disabled.

And then the cry will go one for another one session.... :).... Alumni and Siblings should not be touched.

Sibling studying in the same school is beneficial for both parents and the school in many ways.

Alumni - why not ? and why is first child extra point justified?

You are now crying for first child and if any point in time you have a second one you will cry for sibling and say first child should not be given any weightage.

Just trying to twist anything that favours you.

Why not 5 point for first kd if there is 5 point for alumni? There is no slab in distance point..why the no alumni kids should be at disadvantage? Democracy in country and same in school..if not this year then next but the fight will go on. Say no to dynastic flow...

Sibling point is justified very well. No argument for alumni..this all biased thinking. If alumni points are scrapped then i would not support for 5 point for first kid.
