Is it Mandatory to attend draw of lots

Hello Parents/ Sakshi ji/ Latha ji

Is it mandatory to attend the draw of lots? Though many schools say it's not mandatory for parents to attend the draw but some of the parents have told me in the past that some schools consider only those kids whose parents are present at the time of the draw. Please clarify.

It is not mandatory to attend draw of any school as names of any child having requisite points for the draw would always be included in the draw.....
