Just a thought on Alumni ans its argument. May not mean anything to most of the parents here
I was just trying to visualise a communication between students of school, college etc
Scene -
Students talking - A conversation between St Columba's students "Yaar Shahrukh Apne school ka pass out hai".
Parents talking -Parents within their circle - Mera beta us school me padhta hai jahan se Shahruk khan padha hai..
(This is mostly true for all schools, colleges, inst. Be it Amitabh in KMC, XYZ in some or the other school or college)
As few parents said that it is the matter of pride that their kids got to X school (Best school). Who made these schools?? Were alumnis important?? Everyone showcases the alumni strength to build on the reputation of the school. For me just like teachers, policies, administrations, principal etc even alumni are important ingredient in making the school. Talk to any school and they will tell you what role has alumni played in building stature of the school.. You are fighting for a school because alumnis of those schools have reached somewhere in their life..
Many students have passed out from a school/college but very few achieve big things and these people are leveraged forever in every conversation by school, students, parents etc.
When someone make strong argument against sibling convenience/logistics is the prime reason.
People always ask which is the good school.. What is the criteria under consideration?
1) Infrastructure 2) Extra-curricular 3) Management 4) Past records ?? (Is it one of the criterias that what is the track record of the school?) 5) many others may be..
I am not trying to validate alumni point but my concern is the way parents are talking crap about this criteria. Aren't they alumni of a school? Even I am from some school but I want my son to study in some other school but have no option due to these guidelines. But I have no complaints against the guidelines. It could have been raised 3 months back. Which no one did.
(Pls note that I am not trying to support or oppose any criteria.. As I have been emphasising on my various posts.. For me whatever is the criteria should have been challenged in Dec and not now)

@ Rahul - What do U meany by Equality. Just a simple question can all five fingers be equal. Its a nature !! There is always be terms like comparison , variations etc. Yes, a term equilibrium is also there but it reaches to one break even point. Here in Admission process, the point system makes the equilibrium between all 70 pointers, all 75 pointers, all 90 pointers & so on.
Parents - Just one thing that whole system cannot be changed in a day.

@ Rukhman - What logic U R giving. Here V R not talking what a child will become after 18-20 years. There is a word in dicitionary called Alumni. If you see in all schools / institutes site, they have one blog for Alumnis. Why is it so !!. The school is also proud to all those children who have studied from their school & are well settled. Then, why that parent shud not have the RIGHT to send their child in that school which groomed them. Now, upto that child whether he will become hero or zero after 20 yrs.

@ Sakshi (Moderator) - I think many parents are getting overbold. They want to challenge the laws & Govt. of our country. I request please stop all blogs till 24th otherwise parents here on screen will damage their heads.

You are spot on.
Since begining of all this mess of PIL's i have been saying that this is not the time to cry.
We should have acted when the guidelines were issued 3 months back.
This is the time to move on and let the process complete.
There is no definition of good school. A school may be good for one and may not be for other so we cannot comment on this.
Parents play the most important role in the overall development of the kid.

Plzzz?...........not again, bring something different, like put. ur fdback abt any school , fees regards , experiences, etc, or share some informative which will give every one some thing t know.
Read somewhere, ''if u can't convince them ,confuse them..'' this is wat happening here.
And plzzz kindly don't put or''' bhari bharkam'' , comments again. Just chill.....dear all have a nice time .

i don't think why some people are attacking on education (super education) of parents who have filed all those PILs!!! i doubt that even a small percent of them would be PG...these PIL filing bunches are being fooled and used by the lawyer community...i think i am super educated (MD) still i want to sit at home and wait for all this to settle, not to file a PIL. maybe because i don't have time, but definitely because i am so educated that i don't want to become a puppet of these lawyers hands!!!
P.S. @shrity S stop calling names to parents and maintain the decorum yourself of the respected site you are using to express your views, which have made you a sort of hero by paper mentioning your blog and now you think you have right to write anything you think of!!!

Friends - As Sakshi (Moderator) had earlier rightly said that the timing is wrong. The session has already been delayed by 1 month. This admission process can be contested & improved but not at this stage. U know many schools have declared first list & taken fees, few have come with second list also. That would be a complete mess if there woudl be any change in process. Schools may be asked to refund the fees & then there may be more chances that school will play & trouble U in refunding the money. SO, think in a broader way. The current process is at END STAGE..

Here is not the question of Nursery or IIT. The point is that there is a timing of everything & all systems shud work accordingly. The play schools will get over by end March, what the child will do at home ??

When we feel disturbed, damaged, ignored, neglected etc. etc., someone will come to console us saying time will make everything right, so be patient and wait for the time to recover your loss or peace of mind. Spiritualism speaks about sacrifice. Sacrifice yourself to your diety completely and He will take over the charge from you. So is the case with me. I have left everything to Him (the time). He is the best curator. . He works round the clock without even letting you know what has happened. He never stops or wait for anyone. He listens all peacefully and you bow your head willingly. That is the power of your TIME. He is voice of everyone heared. Do believe in HIM and wait for His decision. He knows everything of everyone be it spoken or unspoken.
We may not be able to know the inner feelings of everyone here on this forum, but everyone and He Himself is aware of one's own feelings. But he will not allow things to go on without His will. Therefore, it is high time to leave everything on Him to get our wounds heeled.

Agree Maharam. Hopefully other parents on this forum will read your comments. The kind of personal attacks on parents is really bad w. Not sure about the result tomorrow but I really want to take the legal battle to some individuals on this forum and file a PIL on account of all the bitterness that they are spreading (e.g. a gentleman who goes by the handle of Ranjan)
