Nursery admission Update : Today on 21st of Decmeber 2011 a division bench of Delhi High court issued notice to the DOE and action comitee of Unaided Schools and fixed the case for final argument on 6th of januray 2011. Delhi High court passed a detailed order while issuing the notice while permited the school to go throught the DOE circuler dated 16.12.2011 but whether the pre school can be considered as entry level class or not will be subject to the final outcome of the case which will be decided on 6th of Januray 2011. we can state that the issue whether the students admitted in pre school will be upgraded to pre school or they will be admitted as a fresh admission will be decided on 6th of january itself. we suggest parents to purchase the form after 6th of january as it is most likely that the students of the age group of 3+ will not be promoted in next class and court will decide the matter on 6th as the friday is fixed for the matter for final argument instead of wednosday. the corut strongly refused for a long adjornment which the govenrment counsel was seeking.

or you are some big time cabinet minister ?

FOOLISH WORD IS UNACCEPTABLE

Sakshi...I understand but u cant feel the worries i went through last year same time and now again the same this year(3+,4+,3+,...( someone ideally should say.. we dont need 12 yrs in school..why not we have 2 board exams in 8th and 10th n college after that...people who run the school business wud never accept this and pay part of the fees from parents as bribes toministers to try and prevent this) ..over this issue which is much less important than the widespread poverty & unemployment facing the country...i mean we find people to fight for conservation of tigers but no takers to prevent people dying due to lack of food/jobs/huge huge amount in crores stashed in swiss banks ...which are huge causes if someone finds time to take careof in addition to or after their regular jobs

Agree with Lathaa Ji completely. And I appeal to forum members not to panic at all. If people like Ashok Aggarwal and Khagesh Jha are working to help us we should support them rather than criticise them. The problem has been always been there that we don't raise our voice and keep on accepting the corrupt practices of the Govt. and schools and keep on murmuring amongst ourselves. That is why the Govt. is not scared of the public. If someone is working for our cause lets support them and moreover the matter is with the Court. If the law requires it to be 4+, let it be. Our fight should be rather to get the Govt. to have some control over the points system adopted by the school. A very good common point system was developed by the Govt. after the Ganguly Committe recommendations but very next year probably under pressure from schools, they went back and gave the schools a free hand. Whether 3+ or 4+, unless something is done about the points system, none of us would be able to secure admission for our children in a transparent manner.

This is what I was referring to , all this would lead to mess and confusion. It's not an easy matter to be settled. The proceedings today have indicated that nursery is likely to continue as 3 plus , whether it would be a feeder to KG that has to be settled which means more pain for parents. I tend to agree with Dr Gupta.

They are probably finding ways to fleece parents twice of their hard-earned money 2 times in 2 years seems...wt else could be the reason to stop nursery students from going directly to KG

May I appeal Hon. Mr Vohra to address queries for all the parents face to face. if required , all parents can join at one place Zone wise and Mr Vohra can address all queries before 5th Jan, 2012.

regards,
Pankaj

let us at least have the minimum facts correct it should be 06.01.2012 and not 06.01.2011

Sir, Thank you for all the efforts taken by you for a public cause.

Dear Sumit. Can you please check with Mr. Ashok Agarwal what stand Delhi Government is taking on the Pre-Primary admission for which Court has provided 15 days time for next hearing on 6 Jan. Is the Govt in favour of automatic feed from Pre-School to Pre-Primary? If we know the plea the Govt has taken yesterday, we atleast know what will be contested on 6 Jan.
